Father Jack was one of the principal volunteers of IRCA when I first joined it, and was interested in overseas DX and propagation among many other subjects. He also wrote up the club's original guide for convention hosts. Wow what a shock. I knew Father Jack fairly well. Bill Block and I even visited him in Ojai in 1970. This is sad news indeed for those of us who knew Father Jack. I received the news earlier this afternoon from former IRCA member Randy Seaver. That's a real shocker Russ. I'd just received a Christmas letter from him and replied on December 4th. I hadn't seen Fr. Jack for 25-30 years but in the mid-late 70s we saw & corresponded with each other regularly.
