Re: [IRCA] The New Wellbrook K9AY Phased Array

2009-12-21 Thread Patrick Martin
Thanks John. The only reason I can run the beverage here, is because of
the old fence line. I may beable to reconstruct my old beverage to the
North, or at least 700-1000 feet. But the room needed for the K9AY Array
or the Welbrook would not really fit here. I have the room, but it would
stick out on the side of the house where there are no trees and people
would see it. As you may remember my antennas a pretty much in the back.

Re: [IRCA] The New Wellbrook K9AY Phased Array

2009-12-21 Thread John H. Bryant

Patrick,

On the new Wellbrook K9AY Phased Array, the separation between the
two antennas is still 40 meters or about 133 feet. Add to that the
half triangle sticking outside beyond the poles on each end and
you've got about 165 to 175' in the directions that you want to look.

It is nowhere as big or even half as big as a Beverage, but it does
take some room.
