Liberating America From IsraelThis essay was issued on Sept. 12, 2002.By Paul Findley (pictured) Nine-eleven would not have occurred if the U.S. government had refused to help Israel humiliate and destroy Palestinian society. Few express this conclusion publicly, but many believe it is the truth. I believe the catastrophe could have been prevented if any U.S. president during the past 35 years had had the courage and wisdom to suspend all U.S. aid until Israel withdrew from the Arab land seized in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. The U.S. lobby for Israel is powerful and intimidating, but any determined president even President Bush this very day could prevail and win overwhelming public support for the suspension of aid by laying these facts before the American people: Israel's present government, like its predecessors, is determined to annex the West Bank biblical Judea and Samaria so Israel will become Greater Israel. Ultra-Orthodox Jews, who maintain a powerful role in Israeli politics, believe the Jewish Messiah will not come until Greater Israel is a reality. Although a minority in Israel, they are committed, aggressive, and influential. Because of deep religious conviction, they are determined to prevent Palestinians from gaining statehood on any part of the West Bank. In its violent assaults on Palestinians, Israel uses the pretext of eradicating terrorism, but its forces are actually engaged advancing the territorial expansion just cited. Under the guise of anti-terrorism, Israeli forces treat Palestinians worse than cattle. With due process nowhere to be found, hundreds are detained for long periods and most are tortured. Some are assassinated. Homes, orchards, and business places are destroyed. Entire cities are kept under intermittent curfew, some confinements lasting for weeks. Injured or ill Palestinians needing emergency medical care are routinely held at checkpoints for an hour or more. Many children are undernourished. The West Bank and Gaza have become giant concentration camps. None of this could have occurred without U.S. support. Perhaps Israeli officials believe life will become so unbearable that most Palestinians will eventually leave their ancestral homes. Once beloved worldwide, the U.S. government finds itself reviled in most countries because it provides unconditional support of Israeli violations of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the precepts of all major religious faiths. How did the American people get into this fix? Nine-eleven had its principal origin 35 years ago when Israel's U.S. lobby began its unbroken success in stifling debate about the proper U.S. role in the Arab-Israeli conflict and effectively concealed from public awareness the fact that the U.S. government gives massive uncritical support to Israel. Thanks to the suffocating influence of Israel's U.S. lobby, open discussion of the Arab-Israeli conflict has been non-existent in our government all these years. I have firsthand knowledge, because I was a member of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee in June 1967 when Israeli military forces took control of the Golan Heights, a part of Syria, as well as the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza. I continued as a member for 16 years, and to this day maintain a close watch on Congress. For 35 years, not a word has been expressed in that committee or in either chamber of Congress that deserves to be called debate on Middle East policy. No restrictive or limiting amendments on aid to Israel have been offered for 20 years, and none of the few offered in previous years received more than a handful of votes. On Capitol Hill, criticism of Israel, even in private conversation, is all but forbidden, treated as downright unpatriotic, if not anti-Semitic. The continued absence of free speech was assured when those few who spoke out Senators Adlai Stevenson and Charles Percy, and Reps. Paul "Pete" McCloskey, Cynthia McKinney, Earl Hilliard, and myself were defeated at the polls by candidates heavily financed by pro-Israel forces. As a result, legislation dealing with the Middle East has been heavily biased in favor of Israel and against Palestinians and other Arabs year after year. Home constituencies, misled by news coverage equally lop-sided in Israel's favor, remain largely unaware that Congress behaves as if it were a subcommittee of the Israeli parliament. However, the bias is widely noted beyond America, where most news media candidly cover Israel's conquest and generally excoriate America's complicity and complacency. When President Bush welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, sometimes called the Butcher of Beirut, as "my dear friend" and "a man of peace" after Israeli forces, using U.S.-donated arms, completed their devastation of the West Bank last spring, worldwide anger against American policy reached the boiling point. Who Is Imam al-Mahdi?I'm writing this document as a respond to requests from many Muslims and non-Muslims. I found many documents about this subject that contains a lot of false Hadeeths. This document is a result for a long research in evaluating every Hadeeth (true or false). Arabic version is also availavble. The term "MAHDI" is a title meaning "The Guided one". Mahdi is a normal man who is going to follow the true Islam. His name will be Muhammad and his father name will be 'Abdullah. He is a descendant from Ali and Fatima (daughter of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) so he will be descendant from al-Hasan or al-Husain. Mahdi will be very just and his capital will be Damascus. Allah told us that Jews will master the world two times (we live now 1998 during the first one) and Mahdi will appear between those two periods and will rule through the last one. Mahdi is NOT a prophet but he is the final Rightly Guided Khalifa. Mahdi will lead Muslims to a great victory against the Christian Romans (i.e. All the white Europeans including the Americans). This great war is called al-Malhamah al-Kubrah or Armageddon. It will end up with a great victory to Muslims against Romans after six years. Muslims will take over their capital Rome (this can be any city). In the seventh year, the Anticrist will apear and a greater war will start between Jews and Muslims for 40 days (longer that usual days) and will end when Jesus (pbuh) will come and Muslims will kill all Jews. All people will convert into Islam. Peace will pervade the whole world. As Muslims, we should remember that the prophecy about Mahdi is one that will come to pass. This prophecy, however, does not absolve the Muslim Ummah from its duty to strive in the cause of Allah, oppose injustice, and seek peace and betterment of human condition. Centuries have passes from the time of the holy Prophet and there is a good possibility that many more will expire before the advent of the Mahdi. Muslims who are negligent in their duty hoping for a savior are committing a grave mistake and are not following the divine decrees ordained in Quran or taught by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).Correct Hadeeths (AHadeeth SaHiHa) Narrated Jabir ibn Samurah:The Prophet (pbuh) said: The religion will continue to be established till there are twelve caliphs (Khalifas) over you, and the whole community will agree on each of them. I then heard from the Prophet (pbuh) some remarks which I could not understand. I asked my father: What is he saying: He said: all of them will belong to Quraysh. Disagreement will occur at the death of a caliph (khalifa) and a man of the people of Medina (Madina) will come flying forth to Mecca (Makka). Some of the people of Mecca will come to him, bring him out against his will and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. An expeditionary force will then be sent against him from Syria (Al-Sham) but will be swallowed up in the desert between Mecca and Medina. When the people see that, the eminent saints (Al-Abdal) of Syria and the best people of Iraq will come to him and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam.Then there will arise a man of Quraysh whose maternal uncles belong to Kalb and send against them an expeditionary force which will be overcome by them, and that is the expedition of Kalb. Disappointed will be the one who does not receive the booty of Kalb. He will divide the property, and will govern the people by the Sunnah of their Prophet (pbuh) and establish Islam on Earth. He will remain seven years, then die, and the Muslims will pray over him. An army would attack this House in order to fight against the inhabitants of this House and when it would be at the plain ground the ranks in the centre of the army would be sunk and the vanguard would call the rear flanks of the army and they would also be sunk and no flank would be left except some people who would go to inform them (their kith and kin). Narrated Mustawrid al-Qurashi: I heard Allah's Apostle (pbuh) said: The Last Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people (This is exactly the situation today since Europeans and Americans are the largest group). Amr said to him (Mustawrid al-Qurashi): See what you are saying? He said: I say what I heard from Allah's Apostle (pbuh) Thereupon he said: If you say that, it is a fact for they have four qualities. (1) They have the patience to undergo a trial and (2) immediately restore themselves to sanity after trouble and (3) attack again after flight. (4) They (have the quality) of being good to the destitute and the orphans, to the weak and, fifthly, the good quality in them is that (5) they put resistance against the oppression of kings. Elizabeth, now Safia Al Kasaby, 43, lives in Tampa, Florida. She is a former sergeant first class of the US Air Force National Guard. She lost one uncle and seven cousins in the attacks on the World Trade Center.
Her grandfather was a Jew and her grandmother was Catholic.Safia said that in 1997, nearly destitute, she approached a synagogue in North Tampa for help. Officials at the shul wanted to know if she was a member. She was not. They asked her if she was really Jewish. She became disillusioned and for eight years she did not participate in organised religion.
She found Islam in 2005 on the third day of a Moroccan vacation.At first, Safia's family didn't take her seriously and some colleagues at her banking job made fun of her new attire. She dared not pray at work.
Mostly, Safia kept her new faith at home, learning about her religion on web sites and Islamic chat rooms.After a meeting with an imam at the Islamic Society of Tampa Bay Area in June, Safia felt more at ease with her new faith. But some in her family are reluctant to accept her new faith. Her eldest daughter, Sylvia, wants little to do with her. A Baptist and young military widow, Sylvia berated Safia when she showed up at her husband's funeral wearing a hijab.
At home, Safia raises two daughters. Ten-year-old Natalia says her mother's religion is cool.Ada, 18, appreciates Safia's transformation and doesn't put up with people who make fun of Islam or stereotype Muslims. "I say, 'Wait a minute. My mom's a Muslim,'" Ada said. "She's not a terrorist."

Masala 1.
Although fasting during ramazan remains obligatory
during haiz, a woman should not fast during the period
but it becomes compulsory for her to observe these as
qazaa fasts later on.
Masala 2.
If bleeding started while she was fasting, her fast
breaks even if there was a very little portion of the
fast still left. Since the fast is not valid it is
necessary for her to repeat it, whether it is fard or
nafl.
Masala 3.
If a woman starts menstruating on the day when she was
fasting, thereby causing her fast to break, she must
still not eat or drink anything on that day. It is
necessary for her to appear like others as if she is
fasting.
Masala 4.
She should also not eat or drink on the day she
becomes pure (paak) from haiz and should also appear
as if she is fasting.
Masala 5.
If bleeding stops after subhe saadiq in Ramazan and
although she has not eaten anything, her fast is not
valid even if she makes an intention to fast. Qazaa
becomes necessary for that particular fast as she was
unclean for a certain period of the day.
Masala 6.
If bleeding continued for full 10 days and 10 nights
and stopped just before subhe saadiq, leaving no time
even to say takbire tahrima, then that particular fast
becomes compulsory for her. She should make an

compulsory; but if there is no time for a bath, then
it is not compulsory to fast that day. In case the
fast becomes compulsory, then she should make an
intention and keep the fast. It doesnt matter if she
takes a bath later on.

The party has one of two options: either it turns its achievement into a source of threat and intimidation for the rest of Lebanese society, or utilises it to rebuild national unity. It is a historic opportunity before Hizbullah, and we call upon it to make the utmost of it; not out of pity for Lebanon, but out of the heroism of the brave." Al-Haj's words truly captured what many described as one of the biggest challenges that confronts Hizbullah which not only fought the most powerful army in the Middle East to a standstill but emerged victorious in the eyes of millions of Arabs, its enemies, and undoubtedly its Lebanese constituency. Hizbullah's moment, both domestically and regionally, has arrived. But with it comes the heavy burden of introspection. Signs of this were apparent when a week ago Hizbullah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah admitted in a televised interview that had Hizbullah known beforehand of the human cost of the operation of capturing the two Israeli soldiers they would not have embarked on the operation. Many read this statement to mean that Hizbullah was acknowledging its miscalculation, which Nasrallah denied in an interview with As-Safir newspaper. While the defensive war against Israel may have ended, at least for now, the Islamic resistance movement continues a battle of a different kind on a number of fronts domestically. There is the issue of reconstruction, where the party wants to preserve the social fabric of the southern villages that constitute the bulk of its constituents. Meanwhile, the political battles in which the party is engaged with other Lebanese forces -- particularly those belonging to the 14th March alliance -- are not any less important than the actual conflict fought with the Israelis. Thus far, Hizbullah has avoided entering into a war of words that could exacerbate sectarian tension and has been working towards preserving national unity. Members of 14th March alliance, on the other hand, upped the ante in the past week with an escalation that reached unprecedented levels in the already strained relationship between it and Hizbullah, although both hold a place in the current Lebanese government. Accusations of Hizbullah being part of an Iranian- Syrian axis continued to be heard while at least one Christian politician, Dori Shamoun, accused Hizbullah of "seeking to establish an Islamist Shia state in Lebanon". Others called on Hizbullah to "enter the state" and drew a picture of Lebanon's Shia as being "a state within a state". Some even accused Hizbullah of wanting to capitalise on its victory over Israel to "turn against the current political formula that Lebanon has known since the implementation of the Taif Agreements in 1992". Sources close to Hizbullah spoke about attempts by political leaders within the 14th March alliance to create a schism within Lebanon's Shia to isolate Hizbullah from its main constituents. These two events reflect the simultaneous hope and unease in the Twin Cities' growing Muslim community, nearly five years after the Sept. 11 attacks. In the immediate aftermath of the terror attacks, some local Muslims found themselves the victims of random assaults and federal authorities shut down several money-wiring services used by Somalis and other immigrants. The scrutiny was intensified after revelations that Zacarias Moussaoui, the only man charged in connection with the attacks in New York and Washington, had been enrolled at an Eagan flight school. Making progress Since then, Muslim leaders in the Twin Cities say there has been some progress on both sides on outreach and understanding one of the world's fastest-growing religions. "There has been some profound changes. The communication is far ... greater than five years ago," said Zafar Siddiqui, president of the Islamic Resource Group in Edina. "But there still is not a clear picture of who we are as a community." Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman with the Council of American-Islamic Relations, an advocacy group based in Washington, said Muslims across the country are expressing similar views. "We have done surveys where participants say yes, there has been more tolerance," Hooper said. "But there's a certain percentage that say they've been discriminated against and a similar amount they've also experienced kindness. "They balance each other out in a strange sort of way." Siddiqui said about 100,000 to 150,000 Muslims live in Minnesota, many of them immigrants from Somalia. He said a sign of the community's growth is the mostly Somali-funded Abuubakar As-Sadique Center, which went from renting space near the University of Minnesota to its own building at 2834 13th Av. Abdul Sugule, spokesman for Abbuubakar, said about 1,200 worshipers raised $2.5 million over seven years -- even during troubling times after the Sept. 11 attacks -- to convert a former 95,000-square-foot warehouse this spring into a site filled with colorful, lush rooms for prayers, meetings and ceremonies. That's why many worshipers are disappointed, Sugule said, that authorities haven't made arrests in a recent arson fire that burned several copies of the holy Qur'an. The argument Mr. Bush is hearing in favor of an airstrike is pretty simple: Iran is a terrorist regime that has sponsored attacks on Americans and on Jews (as far away as Argentina). The president of Iran is a hard-liner who has used language that, while subject to debate among Farsi speakers, may mean that his aim is to wipe Israel off the map. "Lead Shrinks as Minnesota Democrat Repudiates Association With Farrakhan"Keith Ellison is a Democrat running for an open House seat in a heavily Democratic district. But what once looked like a cakewalk has turned into a bruising campaign in which many facts are disputed but a central one is not: If he wins, he will be the first Muslim elected to Congress. Before he can make history, Ellison must capture Tuesday's hotly contested Democratic primary in Minnesota's 5th Congressional District, which consists of the Minneapolis side of the Twin Cities and an inner ring of suburbs. Whoever gets the Democratic nomination is expected to sweep to victory in November to succeed Rep. Martin O. Sabo (D), who is retiring after 28 years in the House.Ellison, 43, is a two-term state legislator. He prays toward Mecca five times a day and says he has not eaten pork or had a drink of alcohol since he converted to Islam as a 19-year-old student at Wayne State University in Detroit. When speaking at mosques or to members of Minneapolis's large Somali immigrant population, he opens with "Salaam aleikum," Arabic for "Peace be with you."Other than that, he seldom refers to his religion on the campaign trail, unless asked. "I'm a Muslim. I'm proud to be a Muslim. But I'm not running as a Muslim candidate," Ellison said during a break between a commemoration of Hurricane Katrina and an appearance at a public housing project. "I'm running as a candidate who believes in peace and bringing the troops out of Iraq now. I'm running as a candidate who believes in universal, single-payer health care coverage and an increase in the minimum wage."Despite Ellison's desire to focus on the war and the economy, questions about his faith and character have kept him on the defensive. The most damaging accusations, says Christopher Gilbert, professor of political science at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., concern Ellison's past associations with the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan.Although four Democrats are seeking the nomination, Ellison became the candidate to beat in May, when the state's Democratic-Farmer-Labor organization endorsed him.Within days, Michael Brodkorb, author of a Republican blog called MinnesotaDemocratsExposed.com, dug up two articles that Ellison had written under the name of Keith Hakim for the University of Minnesota student newspaper when he was in law school there in 1989 and 1990. The first article defended Farrakhan against accusations of anti-Semitism. The second called affirmative action a "sneaky" form of compensation for slavery, suggesting instead that white Americans pay reparations to blacks. Another conservative blog, PowerLineBlog.com, subsequently revealed that the candidate had used the names Keith X Ellison and Keith Ellison-Muhammed during his student days. In more than 20 Web postings titled "Who Is Keith Ellison?" PowerLine asserted that he had been a "local leader" of the Nation of Islam and accused him of "involvement" in anti-Semitism. Badly stung, Ellison responded quickly. He met privately with key Jewish supporters, spoke publicly at a synagogue in the suburb of St. Louis Park and repudiated Farrakhan in a May 28 letter to the Jewish Community Relations Council in Minneapolis.While denying that he had ever joined -- much less led -- the Nation of Islam, he acknowledged that he had worked with the group for about 18 months to organize the Minnesota contingent to Farrakhan's 1995 Million Man March in Washington.In the letter to the council, he apologized for failing to "adequately scrutinize the positions" of Farrakhan and other Nation of Islam leaders. "They were and are anti-Semitic, and I should have come to that conclusion earlier than I did."In interviews on the campaign trail last week, Ellison said his attraction to Islam in the 1980s "had a political angle to it, a reaction against status quo politics."But he said he has stayed a Muslim, and grown in his faith, while his political outlook has moderated since he began practicing law, serving in the state legislature and raising four children with his wife, Kim, a high school math teacher who has multiple sclerosis. It was a noise that set one's teeth on edge and bristled the hair at the back of one's neck. The Hate had started. As usual, the face of Emmanuel Goldstein, the Enemy of the People, had flashed on to the screen. There were hisses here and there among the audience. The little sandy-haired woman gave a squeak of mingled fear and disgust. Goldstein was the renegade and backslider who once, long ago (how long ago, nobody quite remembered), had been one of the leading figures of the Party, almost on a level with Big Brother himself, and then had engaged in counter-revolutionary activities, had been condemned to death, and had mysteriously escaped and disappeared. Somewhere or other he was still alive and hatching his conspiracies: perhaps somewhere beyond the sea, under the protection of his foreign paymasters, perhaps even -- so it was occasionally rumoured -- in some hiding-place in Oceania itself. Winston's diaphragm was constricted. He could never see the face of Goldstein without a painful mixture of emotions. It was a lean Jewish face, with a great fuzzy aureole of white hair and a small goatee beard -- a clever face, and yet somehow inherently despicable, with a kind of senile silliness in the long thin nose, near the end of which a pair of spectacles was perched. It resembled the face of a sheep, and the voice, too, had a sheep-like quality. Goldstein was delivering his usual venomous attack upon the doctrines of the Party -- an attack so exaggerated and perverse that a child should have been able to see through it, and yet just plausible enough to fill one with an alarmed feeling that other people, less level-headed than oneself, might be taken in by it. He was abusing Big Brother, he was denouncing the dictatorship of the Party, he was demanding the immediate conclusion of peace with Eurasia, he was advocating freedom of speech, freedom of the Press, freedom of assembly, freedom of thought, he was crying hysterically that the revolution had been betrayed -- and all this in rapid polysyllabic speech which was a sort of parody of the habitual style of the orators of the Party, and even contained Newspeak words: more Newspeak words, indeed, than any Party member would normally use in real life. And all the while, lest one should be in any doubt as to the reality which Goldstein's specious claptrap covered, behind his head on the telescreen there marched the endless columns of the Eurasian army -- row after row of solid-looking men with expressionless Asiatic faces, who swam up to the surface of the screen and vanished, to be replaced by others exactly similar. The dull rhythmic tramp of the soldiers' boots formed the background to Goldstein's bleating voice. Before the Hate had proceeded for thirty seconds, uncontrollable exclamations of rage were breaking out from half the people in the room. The self-satisfied sheep-like face on the screen, and the terrifying power of the Eurasian army behind it, were too much to be borne: besides, the sight or even the thought of Goldstein produced fear and anger automatically. He was an object of hatred more constant than either Eurasia or Eastasia, since when Oceania was at war with one of these Powers it was generally at peace with the other. But what was strange was that although Goldstein was hated and despised by everybody, although every day and a thousand times a day, on platforms, on the telescreen, in newspapers, in books, his theories were refuted, smashed, ridiculed, held up to the general gaze for the pitiful rubbish that they were in spite of all this, his influence never seemed to grow less. Always there were fresh dupes waiting to be seduced by him. A day never passed when spies and saboteurs acting under his directions were not unmasked by the Thought Police. He was the commander of a vast shadowy army, an underground network of conspirators dedicated to the overthrow of the State. The Brotherhood, its name was supposed to be.
