[jira] [Commented] (AMQCPP-606) CMS: Add support for AMQP
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQCPP-606?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel=15548722#comment-15548722 ] Matt Pavlovich commented on AMQCPP-606: --- Yep, aware of Qpid's library. However, that doesn't provide a standard programming API. How would adding AMQP to CMS be different than the current protocol support for openwire and stomp in CMS? > CMS: Add support for AMQP > - > > Key: AMQCPP-606 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQCPP-606 > Project: ActiveMQ C++ Client > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: CMS Impl >Reporter: Matt Pavlovich > > Add AMQP support to CMS in order to close a gap and provide uniform > programming API options for users looking to use the AMQP protocol. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)

[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQCPP-606?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel=15548685#comment-15548685 ] Timothy Bish commented on AMQCPP-606: - The Qpid project already provides a C++ client for AMQP. It would not be possible to just bolt on AMQP support to ActiveMQ-CPP, you'd need to write an entirely new client from scratch. > CMS: Add support for AMQP > - > > Key: AMQCPP-606 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQCPP-606 > Project: ActiveMQ C++ Client > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: CMS Impl >Reporter: Matt Pavlovich > > Add AMQP support to CMS in order to close a gap and provide uniform > programming API options for users looking to use the AMPQ protocol. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
