Hi,

I am a newbie Software Engineer. I want to work on one of the Apache Commons 
tasks.
 * Should we pick one of "Ideas (extracted from the ["dev" 
ML|https://markmail.org/message/2qckwxw2x4ue36sd])" above or they should all be 
done in the coding period?

 

 * Are there any good-first-issues to pick up and get familiar with the 
code-base and strengthen the application proposal?
