 Project: Apache Cordova
  Issue Type: Sub-task
  Components: Plugin InAppBrowser
Affects Versions: 3.5.0
 Environment: IOS8,Cordova Plugin
Reporter: Nattapol Taboonma
Priority: Critical

I use inappbrowser plugin from the following link :
 https://github.com/apache/cordova-plugin-inappbrowser
Firstly,I open the Disqus on the inapp browser and it perform perfectly fine.
Unfortunately, when I click the upload photo icon, then the 2 native buttons
will show up. The buttons are 'Take Photo' and 'Choose Existing'. No matter
buttons I tapped, the inappbrowser close immediately, and it lead to error
Warning: Attempt to present UIImagePickerController: 0x17aed600 on
CDVInAppBrowserNavigationController: 0x175e3770 whose view is not in the
 window hierarchy!
After that, the inappbrowser seem to broke permanently. I have to close and
re-start my app to make it work again.
For more info, I already try the tutorial from this:
 http://www.codepool.biz/tech-frontier/html5/take-a-photo-and-upload-it-on-mobile-phones-with-html5.html
with out the inappbrowser the image ui picker work perfectly fine, it surely
that the error not come from the image select code, but it from the
 inappbrowser itself.
I'm waiting for hearing from you.
 Best Regards.

Everything worked with iOS 7. And it still works on the iOS 8.1 simulator.

The controller is as you see {{UINavigationController}} instead of

Resolution: Won't Fix
  Assignee: Andrew Grieve

Looks like this is as you suspected, a bug in the system webview. Looks like
it's fixed upstream though (in M39):

Not sure if this change is in Android L (guess we'll find out soon though), and
should be picked up by Crosswalk once they have an M39 branch.

Android CordovaChromeClient doesn't respect Wifi proxy bypass list
 --

 Key: CB-7939
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7939
 Project: Apache Cordova
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: Android
Affects Versions: 3.5.0
 Environment: Android 4.4.2
Reporter: Jon Tancer
Assignee: Andrew Grieve
  Labels: android, proxy, webview

When running a cordova app on an Android 4.4.2 device, the device does not
respect the Bypass proxy for: list in the device's WiFi settings.
My ajax request ultimately fails, because authentication to the proxy fails.
The end points I am requesting are internal servers which are listed as
exclusions in the setting mentioned above, so they should never be going
through the proxy and ultimately failing.
 My listed exclusions are:
 company.com,subdomain.company.com
Changing the Wifi exclusion setting to only include
hostname.subdomain.company.com fixes the issue, but this is not a feasible.
This issue is not present in older versions of Android, holding all other
variables constant. The issue is also not present when creating a
HttpURLConnection in native java code, it only happens with ajax requests
through javascript. This leads me to believe it has something to do with the
Chrome WebView which was introduced in Android 4.4 KitKat.
Any ideas? Can the proxy exclusion be manually over ridden from the app?
More details about the Chrome Web View here:
 https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/webview/overview

  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: Android
Reporter: Andrew Grieve

Priority: Minor

ML discussion: http://markmail.org/thread/dhs7lnnrhq6z24vb

Couple of issues:
1. pauseTimers(), although an instance method, actually applies to all webviews
2. pauseTimers() is always being called during startActivityForResult(), even
though there's no reason to do this.

Proposed changes:
- Pause timers during a startActivityForResult only when KeepRunning preference
is false (this should happen anyways, since the activity's onPause is fired in
this case)
- 4.0.x branch: Create a setGloballyPauseTimers(boolean) on CordovaWebview
interface in 4.0.x that is documented to have the same semantics as
WebView.pause/resume timers.
- 4.0.x branch: Move the pausing resuming into CordovaActivity, rather than
passing it as a boolean to the onPause() function

[jira] [Created] (CB-7948) prepare rebuilding cordova_plugin.js everytime ?

Summary: prepare rebuilding cordova_plugin.js everytime ?
 Key: CB-7948
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7948
 Project: Apache Cordova
  Issue Type: Improvement
Affects Versions: 3.6.0
Reporter: Darryl L. Miles

Does the 'prepare' operation really need to rebuilding cordova_plugin.js
everytime ?

Can it not check the timestamp of the files:
 * platforms\platform\www\codrova_plugins.js
 * plugins\platform.js

That is if the target cordova_plugin.js file has a newer timestamp than the
plugins\myplatform.js then it skips the part of the 'prepare' operation and
logs the optimization.

cordova_plugin.js is already up to date, use --force to rebuild.

Of course if cordova_plugin.js does not exist it is rebuilt.

Maybe a the --force option should be allowed to disable this check.

Maybe other parts of the 'prepare' operation can also be skiped in this way
allow for fast incremental building of the project.

Use browserify to concatenate all plugins with cordova.js (instead of using

To make it backward compatible with existing plugins, use browserify
transforms to change the path of the require() calls with real paths.

Not sure if this is correctly categorized...

Current suggested workflow when using multiple versions of cordova on the same
machine is described here: http://www.mooreds.com/wordpress/archives/1379.
Basically, use local installations of cordova and then run cordova with
./node_modules/cordova/bin/cordova, or a bunch of corresponding aliases.

I want to add a command to the cli, something like 'cordova-local', which can
be run anywhere instead of 'cordova', and finds the closest local installation
of cordova in your directory's ancestors and passes its arguments to it.
Basically it would mirror the workflow of grunt-cli.

There's also nothing in the official docs about this workflow. That blog post
was the only reference I could find.

From the README:

The cordova-local utility enables a developer to easily switch between
multiple local installations of cordova with a single command. It is meant to
be installed globally with 'npm install -g cordova-local'.

To use the utility, use the command 'cordova-local' in place of 'cordova' in
your regular cordova workflow. This will call the globally installed
cordova-local command, which invokes the closest local installation of cordova
in the current directory or its ancestors.

If the '--inclglobal' flag is added, cordova-local will attempt to invoke a
global installation of cordova in the event that no local installation is
found.

./node_modules/cordova/bin/cordova, or a bunch of corresponding aliases.
I want to add a command to the cli, something like 'cordova-local', which can
be run anywhere instead of 'cordova', and finds the closest local
installation of cordova in your directory's ancestors and passes its
arguments to it. Basically it would mirror the workflow of grunt-cli.
There's also nothing in the official docs about this workflow. That blog post
was the only reference I could find.

Right now the UIImagePickerController callback is a monolithic mess.
Re-factor so that it is testable using XCUnit tests. targetSize desperately
 needs unit tests.

Going with the webview as a plugin approach. There will be a different
preference for this. Most likely:

{code}
// The webview has to be installed as a plugin, and conform to the CDVWKWebView
protocol
// the value here should match the feature name
preference name=CordovaWebViewEngine value=CDVWKWebView /
{code}

By default, the value would be CDVUIWebViewEngine

Correct, I performed some testing over Windows platform, it worked like a
charm.
I ran some commands as: create, platform add, plugin add.
After that I added the android platform, no conflict at all.
Added a new plugin and it got installed in both platforms.

Check each folder, at native and www as well, files are in place.
Correct references at plugin\ios.json file.

Also I ran, the cordova run ios as well, throws a error trying to run that
over windows, which is expected.
It looked good to me.

Use browserify to concatenate all plugins with cordova.js (instead of using
 dynamically loading cordova_plugins.js).
To make it backward compatible with existing plugins, use browserify
transforms to change the path of the require() calls with real paths.

 Fix For: 3.6.0

Handling of .cordova/config.json , platforms and lazy_load is currently
 fairly messy.
This removes hardcoded platforms.js handling from lazy_load (especially for
 wp7/wp8 and blackberry10).
It also allows other future platforms to have whatever odd behavior they like
(similar to wp7/wp8/blackberry10) if they so choose.

Deploy step for windows8 and wp8 fails with `timed out` message

Build for both Windows8 and wp8 fails on last step 'Deploy...' with following
 output:
 {noformat}
 [WP8] Modifying Cordova wp8 application. (sha: WP8__master__1403700905)
[WP8] Write medic.json to autotest folder (sha: WP8__master__1403700905)
[WP8] [DEPLOY] starting deploy via command: cd
 d:\medic\slave\WP8_Master\build\mobilespec\platforms\wp8\..\..\ node

 query failed for mobilespec_results true
 ...
 query failed for mobilespec_results true
 [WP8 ERROR]: (sha: WP8__ma)
 WP8 tests execution failed.
 timed out
 {noformat}
Mobilespec tests are passing and test info is being written to couchDB but
build script can't retrieve this results. This is because corresponding
design document in {{mobilespec_results}} is missing.
 Here is request URL:
 {{http://o146:5984/mobilespec_results/_design/results/_view/sha?key=WP8__master__1403700905}}
Problem is that {{_design/results/_view/sha}} design document is missing from
{{mobilespec_results}} table. It needs to be created manually, but this is not
 described in README.md for cordova-medic.
It is necessary to add info about creating corresponding design document to
 {{mobilespec_results}} table to README.md

 Project: Apache Cordova
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: CLI, FirefoxOS
Affects Versions: 4.0.0
 Environment: Ubuntu x64 14.04
Reporter: Adam Fónagy

This is a snippet of my config.xml in the project directory:
 platform name=firefoxos
 icon height=128 src=res/firefoxos/icon128.png width=128 /
 icon height=60 src=res/firefoxos/icon60.png width=60 /
 /platform
cordova build firefoxos command perpares the config.xml in
platforms/firefoxos direcory with icon reltated settings like this:
 platform name=firefoxos
 icon height=128 src=icon/icon-128.png width=128 /
 icon height=60 src=icon/icon-60.png width=60 /
 /platform
 icon height=128 src=res/firefoxos/icon128.png width=128 /
 icon height=60 src=res/firefoxos/icon60.png width=60 /
When I upload the app to my phone I see the icon is the default cordova icon.
