Keep in mind that one thing is the Cordova version (2.5.0 for you) and a
different version is the one on each of the platforms you are targeting (iOS,
Android, Windows, etc). Which are these versions? you can use the command $
cordova platform ls in your Cordova project.

On the other hand, what's the configuration of your config.xml, particularly
your  tag?

Hello [~joaolori]

What version of Cordova are you using now? It is helpful as well if could add
details about the platforms and their versions you are using.
Also, wondering if after upgrading Cordova you applied the whitelist plugin.
See this link https://www.npmjs.com/package/cordova-plugin-whitelist

hello [~jollyjoester]
I cannot find myself that document, can you tell me which file is it?

BTW, I am not sure about this, but I have the feeling that any time there is a
modification in a document, it gets a new identifier, that's probably why you
get that 404 (need to confirm this with CrowdIn team though). My advise is that
you don't store direct link, rather learn the file you are in the middle of
translation and use the UI to locate it

Victor Adrian Sosa Herrera commented on CB-8487:

Changes are committed. You can find the latest documentation in the repo. For
instance:
https://github.com/apache/cordova-docs/blob/master/docs/es/edge/guide/platforms/android/upgrade.md

All languages are there now, excepting Russian. I'll hold until [~akurdyumov]
feels comfortable to deliver the new content.

Moreover, I haven't incorporated the new (experimental) validation scripts for
documentation. My priority here was to put the latest content in. Now, I'll
play a little bit with the validation scripts to see how we can include them in
the translation process and deliver quality documentation.

Found the problem in my setup, it was completely messed :S
I managed to fix it and now I'm in the middle of the process of reconciling the
English docs with the other languages.

[~akurdyumov]: I haven't reconciled Russian with the latest version (as you
pointed out here). Do you want me to reconcile it, which means it will probably
override your changes, or do you want to do it your self? Just let me know,

Due to an unknown, to me, reason, the upgrade guide in English is also missing
this section in GitHub. Therefore, when running the translation process, it
doesn't reflect the change you are referring to. You can see the repo in Github
with the exact same problem even in English.

https://github.com/sosahvictor/cordova-docs/blob/master/docs/en/edge/guide/platforms/wp8/upgrade.md

I'll synchronize the Git Apache repo (which contains the change) with GitHub.

Hello [~Synthetisoft], sorry for coming back so late.

I created the project and installed the plugin using plain Cordova CLI and it
worked as expected. To me, this is a problem in VS and this defect should be
closed.

As for your request, I'm not sure how Apache Cordova can help you to bridge the
gap as Apache has no meanings to negotiate functionality with other companies,
it is usually the other way where companies adopt Apache projects into their
own solutions. However, I asked in the community if someone can take a look at
this problem and shed some light here (especifically to someone in MS team).

Victor Adrian Sosa Herrera commented on CB-8279:

I tried the above command on a Cordova CLI-created project and it was installed
succesfully.

Calling plugman.fetch on plugin
"https://github.com/songz/cordova-plugin-opentok";
Fetching plugin "https://github.com/songz/cordova-plugin-opentok"; via git clone
Fetching plugin via git-clone command: git clone
"https://github.com/songz/cordova-plugin-opentok";
"/tmp/plugman/git/1421188134006"
Plugin "https://github.com/songz/cordova-plugin-opentok"; fetched.
Copying fetched plugin over
"/home/victor/Hybrid/browsertest/plugins/com.tokbox.cordova.opentok"...
Plugin "com.tokbox.cordova.opentok" fetched.

My next advise, if possible in VS, is that you create the application in CLI,
add the plugin using CLI and then import it into VS. If VS doesn't offer this
functionality, or something alike to import existing Cordova projects into VS,
then I'm affraid you are stuck on MS support because this is not a problem on
either Cordova CLI nor the plugin you are trying to install (at least no in the
install point of view). There is nothing to be fixed on Cordova side.

Sorry for the bad news.

Hello [~Synthetisoft]

Have you tried using the Cordova CLI? Use the command
{{cordova plugin add https://github.com/songz/cordova-plugin-opentok}}

Otherwise this seems to be a problem on VS, not Cordova

[jira] [Updated] (CB-7370) http://registry.cordova.io/-/all doesn't show all information of plugins

Victor Adrian Sosa Herrera updated CB-7370:

Description:
Looking into the JSON rendered in http://registry.cordova.io/-/all, I noted the
plugins don't have the "platforms" attribute. Also in the versions attribute,
it shows only the latest, not all registered versions.

As an example, take org.apache.cordova.file. If look at it in the -/all URL in
the registry, you'll find that in the "latest" attribute the version is 1.3.0.
Now look at the "versions" and you will see "1.3.0: latest" missing the other
versions (they are correctly listed in
http://registry.cordova.io/org.apache.cordova.file as well as in
plugins.cordova.io).

Using this same plugin, in -/all URL, you will notice that the "platforms"
attribute is missing, but go into the plugin JSON
(http://registry.cordova.io/org.apache.cordova.file) and you will notice the
platforms supported for each version.

 Summary: cordova platform check command not working
 Key: CB-7033
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7033
 Project: Apache Cordova
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: CLI
Affects Versions: 3.4.0
Reporter: Victor Adrian Sosa Herrera
Priority: Minor

I have an app with Android installed and I know it was created with Cordova
3.3.1-0.1.2.
After running this command with a 3.4.1-1.0. CLI I get the following
{{$ cordova platform check}}
{{All platforms are up-to-date.}}

But after running cordova platform ls I get the following
{{$ cordova platform ls}}
{{Installed platforms: android broken}}
{{Available platforms: amazon-fireos, blackberry10, firefoxos, ubuntu}}

Using _platform check_ arguments I don't get the result I'm looking for (a
platform out-of-date), while using _platform ls_ it's not very clear, but I
presume the _broken_ platform is like an out-of-date message

 Summary: When display name is 16-bit based language, Android
platform can't create Activty class when adding support
 Key: CB-6511
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-6511
 Project: Apache Cordova
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: Android
Affects Versions: 3.4.0, 3.3.0
Reporter: Victor Adrian Sosa Herrera

Adding android support when the Display name of the Cordova application has a
value based on 16-bit language (like Japanese) makes that the Activity class
(based on that value) isn't created correctly. Instead, the class is generated
as a file named ".java" and the Java class declaration is "public class
extends CordovaActivity".

To reproduce the error:
1. Change the text file encoding of container to UTF-8
2. Create a cordova project and enter a project name with ASCII characters and
display name with G11N characters (like Japanese)
3. Once the project is created, add android support.
4. Go to /platforms/android/src/ and verify you have a
file named ".java". If you are in Linux, it is a hidden file

Hello.
I faced the same problem several months ago and managed to solve it (at that
time I was using Cordova 3.1 but now I'm using 3.4 and still works). I think
this is not a problem on Cordova though, instead it is a problem on JS loading
sequence.
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/blogs/victorsh/entry/apache_cordova_and_jquery?lang=en

Short story:
You need to let jQuery to load first, so you are sure the jQuery
widgets/functions are loaded properly. You can do that using
$(document).bind('ready', function(){
// Other logic here
})

Once you are sure jQuery is loaded properly, you can bind the deviceready event
$(document).bind('ready', function(){

// Cordova 'deviceready' event turn
$(document).bind('deviceready', function(){
 // Your Cordova initialization goes here
});
});

Hello
This looks odd to me. I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS as my primary dev worksation and
have no problems with it.
For what I can see in the log, it occurs to me that probably you need to either
download Android SDK (latest) or create an Android Virtual Device. You can take
a look at the following link to know how to configure your environment for
Android development

http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/3.4.0/guide_platforms_android_index.md.html#Android%20Platform%20Guide

Moreover, can you elaborate a little bit more about your scenario. As a plus,
could you run the add platform command with -d appended at the end?
Something like this:
$ sudo cordova platform add android -d

BTW, on Linux and Mac you can run the emulate command and it will start the

On Windows, it simply fails to start the emulator and returns the prompt.
