Thank you guys for all your suggestions. It helped me to dig deeper.
I was able to make the successful build using the latest version of cordova 
(7.x).
Everything is working now :)

Same here. 

I am building an ionic project. When I run ionic platform add blackberry10, I 
get the aforementioned error.
My cordova version is 6.5.0

Any solutions??
