Re-opening this after talking with Jeff and others here.
We believe the list discussion did not preclude an optional way to specify the
path to node, just that the binaries could not be bundled in an Apache
distribution.
The idea is to allow users to drop a node installation into depdendencies\node
or set an environment variable.
