What HTTP error does this return from the API? Which API end-point does this 
call? Any invalid date format should cause an HTTP 400 client error, not a 500 
internal server error.

FINERACT-1267 sounds a bit related to this.

This is probably a problem with date format which subsequently sends invalid 
date input to the backend hence this will keep occurring. Using the date picker 
is just safer.
