What do you think about splitting up the work to subtasks all targeted for a
specific area, for example 1.2 javadoc broken link cleanup.
Javadocs for 0.94 is strange because it is not linked directly from our main
page but after a few hops the link checker lands on
https://hbase.apache.org/0.94/ and parses through the whole content. Do we
still need this sub-page for 0.94? This is a very old release.

Of the reported 1458 missing files, almost all of them are javadoc issues(1200
of them belonging to 1.2 itself, around 90 of them from 0.94, 40 from 2.0, 30
from 2.1 & rest master).
