-

Patch Submitted: [Yes]

 Support multiple tags, branches
 ---

 Key: MRELEASE-121
 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MRELEASE-121
 Project: Maven 2.x Release Plugin
  Issue Type: Improvement
  Components: scm
Affects Versions: 2.0-beta-4
Reporter: Matthew Beermann
 Attachments: patch.txt

The tag property of the plugin should be a List, not a String, whether
you're executing from the command line or the interactive prompts. There are
a lot of scenarios in which you might want to attach multiple tags at once,
 e.g. VERSION_1_0 and LATEST_RELEASED.
...and as long as you're in there, how about adding a parameter to allow for
actual branching in addition to mere tagging? In CVS, at least, it's simply a
matter of adding an additional flag (-b, I believe).
