Thanks [~julienlau] - re-opening the JIRA based on your info. Not sure someone
will give it a try but who knows.

Good question :) ... No I don't. Anyway, I wanted to share the fact that it is
not possible to directly manipulate Swift from OVH through Nifi.

[~julienlau] - do you intend contributing a processor for this feature?

Ok after numerous tests I turns out that my cloud provider (OVH) deactivated
the S3 access to their openstack swift product...

Would it be possible to re-open this ticket, please ?

I am confused because there is also a ticket on swift Jira that says that it
should be compatible...

I'll try harder and keep you posted.

Hi,

I think this ticket should be re-open ?

The swift/S3 compatiblity chart is obsolete.

I did not try to hack the S3 processor, but the doc says that it needs now to
install a proxy if one wants to use S3api for a Swift storage and this not fine.

https://docs.openstack.org/mitaka/config-reference/object-storage/configure-s3.html

Thanks and regards

PS: it said to be a duplicate ticket but I cannot find any reference to another
ticket on this topic ?

[~gvernik] It sounds like you need for support of the broader Swift API, beyond
what S3 compatibility provides, and that is probably best as a separate set of
Swift processors. Please feel free to enter a ticket in
[Jira|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI] if that's a feature you'd
like to see developed. Even better, if you are interested in developing,
helping develop, or testing Swift processors, you will find a lot of support
here on the [NiFi mailing lists|http://nifi.apache.org/mailing_lists.html].

[~jskora], [~robinlin] I am trying to follow the discussion you had in 2015.
OpenStack Swift and Amazon S3 expose different APIs..different authentication
methods, etc.. It's not possible to use S3 implementation classes to access
OpenStack Swift
