[Bug 123515] In particular .pptx particular shape area shown with color instead 100% transparency / without filling

2013-10-27 Thread bugzilla
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123515

--- Comment #11 from Rainer Bielefeld
rainerbielefeld_ooo...@bielefeldundbuss.de ---
 See attachment.
Yes, attachment shows the difference if you move the circle shape so that half
covers page background, half the rectangle shape behind the circle.

I do not know a way to define Use background filling for shape filling in
AOO, but in other software like SoftMaker FreeOffice and probably PowerPoint
there are different shape background properties Background and None. This
seems to be the core of the problem, the affected shape has area property
Background, what does not exist in AOO. And that's the root where the fix
works, see Comment 7
... useBgFill ... (sounds like Use Background Filling)

I can't see anything unexpected.

@Peter F Jones:
I'm afraid you completely misunderstand the proceeding here, and it seems you
do not want to follow advice how to create a useful bug report. Your sample
document illustrates nothing. I explicitly asked you to contribute concrete,
comprehensible information, you contributed seems there might be problems.

This is the AOO bug tracking system, not a help desk.
You can get assistance at

[Bug 123552] Switch to Overwrite Mode makes character at cell caret position invisible

2013-10-27 Thread bugzilla
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123552

--- Comment #5 from Rainer Bielefeld
rainerbielefeld_ooo...@bielefeldundbuss.de ---
I think the bug has 2 elements:
(h) As long as the flashing overwrite caret rectangle is visible, the visible
color of a dark color (blue) character at it's place should change to a
bright color (yellow), and change back to normal color for the part of
the flashing period where the caret is invisible. This does not work
at all on WIN (it seems that visible color of character switches to
permanently white when overwrite becomes switched on, but does work
more
or less on Linux (can someone check with my new sample?)
(i) Any change of visible character color should be undone when caret has moved
away. This does not work on WIN and does not work on Linux.
(k) so may be we should split this report into 2 ones: original one for (h) and
a separate one for (k)?

Hello
Bypassing
In the .odt, a single picture appears in the body of text :
Right click on the picture, to modify the anchoring:
the second picture appears in the upper left header of the page.
- Selection of the upper left picture, the right click, the anchoring as the
character: the image moves in the header, but there is an upper left copy of
the page!
- Deletion of the upper left copy of the page.
- Restoring of the initial anchoring of the picture in the body of text.

Spin off from Bug 123515 - In .pptx shape area Slide Background Filling

Latest confirmation for AOO 4.1.0-dev, but because of incomplete LCo selector

When I open Open Office a box opens that says

Restore Windows
The application “OpenOffice” was forced to quit while trying to restore its
windows. Do you want to try to restore its windows again?

Then it gives me the option to restore or not restore the windows. However,
neither of these options work. I've restarted my system and have even
un-installed and reinstalled Open Office but it's still doing the same thing.
The only way for me to get rid of the box is to force quit the application all
together.

Please help.

--- Comment #13 from Regina Henschel rb.hensc...@t-online.de ---
Please try a new version. In AOO 4.0.1 you can name all kind of drawing objects
in Writer and there is no problem to select a drawing text box with a mouse
click.

I close the issue as resolved. Please write a new issue, when you have still
problems in AOO 4.0.1.

[Bug 123561] New: In 3dScene the attributes dr3d:scene and dr3d:size of a dr3d:sphere are lost

2013-10-27 Thread bugzilla
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123561

Bug ID: 123561
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: In 3dScene the attributes dr3d:scene and dr3d:size of
a dr3d:sphere are lost
   Product: Draw
   Version: 4.1.0-dev
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: P3
 Component: code
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de
CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org

Created attachment 81830
  -- https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=81830action=edit
Example file with dr3d:center and dr3d:size

Open attached document. Notice the ellipsoid in the scene. Save as with a new
name. Open this new document. Notice the sphere has default size and position.

Expected behavior: The dr3d:center and dr3d:size attributes are preserved, even
if there exists no UI for them.

Less good, but acceptable as intermediate solution, convert the attributes to a
transformation matrix on import.

This is similar to bug 123542 which is for a cube.

Steps how to reproduce with AOO 4.0.1 – German UI / German locale [Rev.
1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit), “historic”
4.0 User Profile used for all predecessor versions

1. From AOO Start center open Attachment 81812 for Bug 123515
2. Open a copy of that document in MS PPT Viewer (or SoftMaker FreeOffice)
3. compare fillingin area of shape at X/Y 70/83mm:
   Views differ:
   (a) IN PPT Viewer I see some kind of hatching with blue dots
AOO shows blank white area (Area properties also say
   filling: color white)

Additional info:

(b) not a new problem, all the same with OOo 3.3.0
(c) Still Reproducible with AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI / German locale -

(d) the problem might be that AOO has no such dots-hatching
(e) with AOO 4.1.0 I see some additional problems, I will report that later
(f) This one is a spin off from Bug 123515 - In .pptx shape area Slide

--- Comment #2 from Rainer Bielefeld

I see some evidence that we have a user error here, but let's see.

@reporter:
Thank you for your feedback – unfortunately important information we will
need to reproduce your problem is missing.
Please add all information requested in following:
a) Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is
b) Attach a sample document (not only screenshot) or refer to an existing
sample document in an other Bug with a link; to attach a file to this
bug report, just click on Add an attachment right on this page.
c) Contribute a document related step by step instruction containing every
key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem
d) Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
e) if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
  from the scratch
f) add information
  f1) what EXACTLY is unexpected
f2) and WHY do you believe it's unexpected (cite Help or Documentation!)
f3) concerning your PC (video card, ...)
f4) concerning your Operating System (Version, Distribution, Language)
f5) concerning your AOO version (with Build/revision ID if it's not a
public release) and localization (UI language, Locale setting)
f6) AOO settings that might be related to your problems
f7) how you launch AOO and how you opened the sample document and
how you proceeded e-mail with what e-mail-client
f8) Whether your problem persists when you renamed your user profile
(Quit Quickstart before!) before you launch AOO (please see

http://www.openoffice.org/development/releases/3.4.1.html#AOO3.4.1ReleaseNotes-KnownIssues)
f9) Whether that worked in former OOO / AOO Versions
