[Issue 58919] Blank Pages in Mail Merge
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=58919 --- Comment #51 from Andreas Säger ville...@t-online.de --- The behaviour is controlled by registrymodifications.xcu: item oor:path=/org.openoffice.Office.Writer/Printprop oor:name=EmptyPages oor:op=fusevaluefalse/value/prop/item This global setting is accessible via ToolsOptions:Print automatically inserted blank pages In a Writer document's settings.xcu the setting is stored as config:config-item config:name=PrintEmptyPages config:type=booleanfalse/config:config-item This document specific setting is accessible via FilePrinterSettings[Options...] and on the second tab of the print dialog. The document setting does not change the modified status which may be worth another bug report. Any mail merge output inherits the setting from the global configuration. However, it should be inherited from the source document. Or may be not? Even with the help of wikipedia I do not understand what Duplex means and why it requires blank sheets of paper, but I think this shouldn't be a document specific setting nor should it be stored globally. I think it is printer specific, isn't it? Dialog FilePrinterSettings... indicates configuration settings for each printer that has been selected from the list box. However, the sub-dialog [Options] writes only one item for all printers into registrymodifications.xcu -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the issue. [Issue 124872] Update failed, can no longer install any version of open office.
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124872 Andre awf@googlemail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||awf@googlemail.com --- Comment #2 from Andre awf@googlemail.com --- This sounds like the openoffice401.msi has been removed manually from the system directory ?:\Windows\Installer\. Doing this manually is usually a bad idea, causes the registry to become out-of-sync, and can easily explain any following errors. However, files in ?:\Windows\Installer are usually (at least on Windows 7) renamed to a string of hexadecimal digits or, alternatively, to a UUID. An msi still being named 'openoffice401.msi' is unexpected. Either the behavior changed in Windows 8 or it is just the error message that substitutes openoffice401.msi (the original name) for the UUID. Anyway, this can probably only be fixed by cleaning up the Windows registry. Something that can easily destroy the whole system. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. You are watching all issue changes.

[Issue 63813] (Auto-) Filter on date fields does not find cells where Day-Month order is opposite to AOO Locale

Not the real Day-Month-order in cell does matter, but the Day-Month-order of cell format Locale? I still do not understand Example: With AOO Locale EN-US (M-D-Y) 2014-01-08 (eighth of January) will be found if cell has German (D-M-Y) ??? 2014-01-09 (ninth of January) will NOT be found if cell has EN-GB (D-M-Y) 2014-01-10 (tenth of January) will be found if cell has EN-US (M-D-Y) 2014-01-11 (11th of January) will NOT be found if cell has Italian (D-M-Y) For me it's plausible that B3 will not be found (Ger locale) and that B12 will not found (Italian locale, same order as German). But why does filter find B9 with German locale? I also discovered this similar issue #89317 where it seems a similar idea was brought up... I agree, a button cluttering up the actual UI would be a bad idea, but tucking a link to the Bugzilla would be significantly better than the 10+ steps it currently takes to learn how to file a bug. [Issue 124851] New: When clicking 'Edit File' in a read-only document, Writer crashes
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124851 Issue ID: 124851 Issue Type: DEFECT Summary: When clicking 'Edit File' in a read-only document, Writer crashes Product: Writer Version: 4.1.0 Hardware: PC OS: Windows 7 Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P3 Component: editing Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org Reporter: lesley.br...@gmail.com I installed OpenOffice 4.1.0 today and have discovered that when I open a read-only document and click on the 'Edit File' - 'Yes' icon, Writer crashes. It then brings up the OpenOffice Document Recovery pane. Upon clicking OK, the pane closes and OpenOffice opens. In previous versions, an editable copy of the document opened. I have reproduced this behaviour with several read-only documents. I am running Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 (64 bit) OS on a Core I5 with 16GB of RAM. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. [Issue 124717] Embedded GDI Metafiles replaced by Read Error box
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124717 --- Comment #10 from Rainer Bielefeld rainerbielefeld_ooo...@bielefeldundbuss.de --- I sent to Oliver-Rainer Wittmann a test kit with 3 documents: 2gdilost_Confidential.odt Here the GDI metafile is lost 1showsgdireplacement_Confidential.odt With 4.1.0 for me shows replacement box, 4.0.0 shows GDI metafile (Copied Spreadsheet contents) 0gdivisible_Confidential.odt With 4.1.0 for me GDI metafile still is visible. With a little luck you should be able to replace the metafile by the Lesefehler-box with proceeding similar to: 1. Delete Rainer Bielefeld signature (blue handwriting, might be missing because linked, you find it on page 7 below the grey table) 2. Delete a word somewhere 3. Type a word somewhere 4. Save under new name 5. Search document for Auszug and check whether GDI metafile below still is ok 6. Go got step 2. and repeat steps I did my tests with AOO 4.1.0 Release – German UI / German locale [AOO410m18(Build:9764) - Rev. 1589052 2014-04-22 11:43:54] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit), “historic” 4.
