[Issue 125203] Showing wrong frame color since version 4.0.0
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125203 --- Comment #6 from Armin Le Grand --- Currently no svg:stroke-color is written when not set as hard attribute at draw objects in writer (aka auto styles e.g. style:name="gr1"). Also draw objects in writer have no parent (aka style:parent-style-name). Also the pool defaults are not written. This is different from e.g. draw/impress where the auto-style and the parent style are used and the graphic style 'default' exists holding the pool defaults. Writer and Calc have no styles for Drawinglayer GraphicObjects and thus only auto-styles exist (containing the hard attributes). Both have also no pool defaults as default graphic style. Addendum: Calc has in styles a '' but with no name and I see no usage of it in the XML file. It does not contain a whole set of graphic defaults. What to do? At runtime the color for the line of graphic objects if not set as hard attribute comes from the pool default. This is the value that has changed. It is not represented in the files. (a) Re-establish the different default for different apps -> file exchange between pre-AOO400 and current will work again -> still no representation in the files -> files created between AOO400 and now will show another line color (b) Set the old defaults as hard attributes at import time -> file exchange between pre-AOO400 and current will work again -> next save will save the line color in the auto-style -> files created between AOO400 and now will show another line color Since the color is not in the file it is implicit and depends on the AOO version the file was saved with (argh). (b) may include a dynamic adaption at load time to avoid the 3rd point. Future: Styles for GraphicObjects should be implemented in Writer and Calc, but that's no easy task. On load time the line color for default style will need to be adapted dependent on AOO version which had file written and on auto-styles already containing a color... I would prefer (b) but this is no simple task, thus not sure for AOO411. Maybe just live with a small (not much bugs seen for this) defect in file exchange between pre-AOO400 versions and now. Another argument for this: If the object outline had to have a defined color it was set by the user, is part of the auto styles and the problem does not occur. In other words: Only if line color is not touched will you see a change from black to gray. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. Thank you for your response Ariel, I appreciate it. Believe it or not, your request for an example actually led me to a quick work around for this ... Our .doc files have confidential customer information in them, so I tried to create an "example" by opening one of the .doc files which was saved with LibreOffice, removing the confidential information, and resaving it using OpenOffice. I did this and, low and behold, when I re-opened the .doc file again, the completed checkboxes were back. So, in short, a quick work around to use the old LibreOffice .doc files (with checkboxes) in OpenOffice would be to: (1) open it in OpenOffice; (2) re-save it as a .doc file with OpenOffice; and then (3) re-open it in OpenOffice I downgraded this to "minor" since the work around is so easy. I do not have libreoffice available here, but I do at home, so I'll upload an example of the glitch over the weekend in case you're still interested. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. The PDF always has been saved to the current working directory (of the document we are working on). Since AOO 4.1.0 however, the PDF is saved to the last used directory. [Issue 125233] Animated .gif files do not play in groups
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125233 --- Comment #4 from Armin Le Grand --- Even worse: The GroupShape paints all child shapes, thus when adding real shapes instead of ShapeOfGroup (which paints nothing, is just a helper to represent the hierarchy and grouping) the animation works, but paints will be double. This shows with animated gifs with transparent parts or transparent objects in the group. This is grouping done completely wrong - the topology of the slideshow is not to use one data object per SdrObject and represent grouping hierarchy but to bundle grouped objects in a single geometry group. That group will loose individual aspects as animation or slideshow animation settings (which may be currently not possible and not supported because of this). From my POV a strange and wrond design decision for the slideshow implementation. And thus hard to fix (basic topological design problem). Maybe it would be better to redo the slideshow using primitives anyways... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. You are watching all issue changes.
[Issue 125233] Animated .gif files do not play in groups
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125233 --- Comment #3 from Armin Le Grand --- Checked slideshow implementation. In ShapeImporter::importShape() the group members are imported and held as ShapeOfGroup, non-grouped shapes are held as DrawShape or whatever is needed and created by ShapeImporter::createShape. When forcing for group members to also use ShapeImporter::createShape animation is good. This is because ShapeOfGroup as a helper does not - as ShapeImporter::createShape does - import the graphics and do the handling for animated stuff. The guy who rewrote that slideshow did a basic handling error here; it is not useful to use the local helper class ShapeOfGroup at all, this should better be an attribute of all possible derivates of Shape so that still for group members the ShapeImporter::createShape method can be used that does the correct and necessary things. What a mess... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. You are watching all issue changes.

[Issue 125227] Text in shapes does not respect above spacing
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125227 --- Comment #3 from Armin Le Grand --- Hi davide, yes, it works as designed. Spacing between paragraphs applies to inside text; if we would need to define a 'distance' from the border of an arbitrary to-be-filled outline (analog to 'Spacing to borders' in the rectangle case). This will not be directed (left/right/top/bottom). It will grow/shrink the target polygon - with all the implications for evtl. concave and complex polyPolygons. There is a simple workaround; create a hand-crafted polygon for the text (will allow more freedom as doing the shrink automatically), no fill, no line, add text there and use 'Adjust to contour', group with original shape. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. [Issue 125224] *.docx import: chart diagram not imported
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125224 --- Comment #7 from Oliver-Rainer Wittmann --- (In reply to Armin Le Grand from comment #6) > I am working on issue 125222, it's about PPTX import with embedded excel > OLE, seems not implemented there, too. But it creates a visualization by > creating two objects for the OLE: An empty OLE and a GraphicObject with a > metafile corresponding to the OLE. Is this similar to what this one does? In the *.docx import nothing from the chart diagram is imported as it looks like. Thus, I am not sure, if 125222 is related. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. You are watching all issue changes.
[Issue 124191] Mac64 only: Mighty Mouse horizontal scrolling issue
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124191 --- Comment #41 from h...@apache.org --- (In reply to papayes from comment #40) > Scrollbars yet blocked. The original problem reported in comment 1: With some mice the scroll-wheels, scroll-balls or scroll-gestures didn't work. This one was fixed. The strange behavior of scroll bars you are experiencing seems to be another bug that is not related to this one. > The patch does not appear it was included in the second version of AOO 4.1.1 If people who experienced the original problem confirmed that the AOO411m2 fix doesn't work then it would be interesting to know whether the library replacement (see comment 21) still work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the issue.
