[Issue 125800] New: Extra data (repeating) under the empty field in the table bug

2014-10-27 Thread bugzilla
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125800

  Issue ID: 125800
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Extra data (repeating) under the empty field in the
table bug
   Product: Base
   Version: 4.1.1
  Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 7
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: P3
 Component: code
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: ahiung...@gmail.com

The table will show the list of our data, along with repeating data about 15
datas extra under the real data. It will vary depends where is your active bar.

For example: If you have 40 list in the table, you will have 53~55 shown in
record.

[Active bar on 1~39] (means you click on any column on row number 1~39)
Then you scroll down the list until it ends..
Under number 40, you will see 0, 1, 2, 3,,15 (extra 15 data, uneditable,
and exactly the same data with number 0,...15.

[Active bar on number 40] (your position is on row 40, any column)
When you scroll down the list
You get 40, 40, 40, 40, 40, 40, 40 (15/16 items with the same value as number
40)

pictures uploaded in tinypic

http://i58.tinypic.com/2yltgsj.png (when active bar is on ID number 0~42, or 1
row less)
http://i59.tinypic.com/insh9h.png (when active bar is on ID 43[last], column 3)

I, too, was NOT able to reproduce the defect.
AOO 4.1.0, Windows 7, tried:

- open .xls file in Calc
- make changes
- File, Save As..., file_name.xls, Save as type: ODF Spreadsheet(.ods)(*.ods)
- Automatic file name extension is checked by default
- hit Save
- no problem...document saved under file name file_name.ods

Also tried:

- File, Save As..., file_name.xls, place cursor manually on file name area
- change manually the extension to .ods while Save as type: Microsoft Excel
97/2000/XP (.xls)(*.xls) is selected by default
- Automatic file name extension is checked by default
- hit Save
- gives dialog box: This document may contain formatting...in Microsoft Excel
97/2000/XP file format. Do you want to save the document in this file format
anyway?
- give choice of "Keep Current Format" or "Save in ODF Format" button
- either choice works.

[Issue 74236] RTF: hard char/para formats exported incorrectly

2014-10-27 Thread bugzilla

Created attachment 84113
  --> https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=84113&action=edit
Version of the export file obtained with AOO 4.1.1

This RTF version, when created by AOO 4.1.1, views just fine in Apache
OpenOffice. It opens fine in LibreOffice 4.3 also. There is a peculiarity
when the file is opened in Microsoft Office Word 2013 where the non-ASCII
alphabetic characters show correctly but in bold.

This specific problem might be resolved.

The original source file was created in OpenOffice.org 2.1. It opens in Apache
OpenOffice 4.1.1 just fine, although the page layout is weird -- there are no
real margins, and it shows up as a single page of whatever length is required.
The width of the page is the width of the AOO application window.

I confirmed that the exported RTF file has a number of layout problems,
although the text appears to be fine.

When I save the source file from AOO as a new RTF file, it appears just fine.
The layout problems do not appear and the layout is faithful to the original
except it is paginated to the default page layout (but A4) and takes 4 pages.

Based on that, I think the particular defect no longer applies.

Side Note: I also opened the fresh RTF file in Microsoft Office Word 2013, and
the layout is also clean. However, all of the characters with special accents
are shown as bold, rather than normal density. I have not attempted to track
that down.

consistently reproducible bug; however, once you open the bug tracker,
searching for duplicates can be frustrating, as the search engine often returns

When the measurement unit for Writer is selected as Point, the position fields
in the Position tab of the Bullets & Numbering dialog does not accept values
greater than 17.64 pt. When the measurement unit is not pt, such limitation
does not hold.

To reproduce the issue:
1.- Open Writer
2.- Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice Writer -> General -> Measurement Unit,
select "point" -> OK
3.- Format -> Bullets & Numbering -> Position, in the "at", "aligned at" or
"indent at" fields enter any value greater than 17.64 pt, press to switch
to the next editable field, the just entered value is changed to 17.64 pt.

This was a red herring.

I had the Z option for Exceptq specified in CONFIG.SYS. Removing that yields
expected behavior (though I'm still puzzled as to why we were getting an
apparently normal exit condition reported just for this one app and not the
others; perhaps it is a defect in Exceptq).

ODF allows any string in the table name.
The name might be long and might contain special characters, but it is valid.

The document is a valid ODF and there is any restriction in loading the
document is the bug.
Unless of course someone is programming Cobol and added an 8 character String
restriction, which is AFAIK not a problem of he office ;)

[Issue 125730] Enhancement to "copy to" feature of filter(s) to copy VALUE not formula

OK, but I do not see this is exactly relevant to my request for an enhancement.

I specifically want the cell computed _values_ copied and not the cell formulae
so what you see in the destination (wherever that is, same sheet or otherwise)
is what you "see" in the original cells that you want to replicate. Call it
"copy by value" not "copy by reference" which is sort of what the current
implementation does.

[Issue 125796] New: Problems with the numbering and dots.

2014-10-27 Thread bugzilla
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125796

  Issue ID: 125796
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Problems with the numbering and dots.
   Product: Writer
   Version: 4.1.1
  Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 8
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: blocker
  Priority: P3
 Component: editing
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: fredri...@hotmail.com

I have a problem with the numbering and dot-system.

Its rather that it kicks in automatically and unbidden.
Its like this.
Huge gap1. Something.
Something...
Something...
Something.
Huge gap2. Something. And so it continues and I find it damn distracting as
I'm out for simplicity not this.

Plus its another feature that rankles me. Word-finisher (which I fucking
hate). And yes I have at least tried deactivating the numbering-thingy.
Doesn't work.

Would be nice to get some good adfvice on this as I have appreciated the ease
of use from your product thus far.

Take a look at your date column. The cells start at line 24 are in text format.
So if you mix both, sorting does not work.
