[Issue 128019] Replace OpenOffice string implementation with Standard Library string implementation
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128019 --- Comment #5 from Peter --- I like the UTF-8 approach as described on https://utf8everywhere.org/ but I have not many insights on alternatives. I think we should decouple the string implementation from OpenOffice. This would allow us to be able to change and maintain this part easier. Also we would need valid convertors for the Other UTF definitions.I think maybe it makes sense to base the string implementation on STL, then have a Own string class that adds the features we need, hidden behind an interface. And we have to check the API. This is I think the most hideous part, based on the FOSDEM presentation. https://ftp.fau.de/fosdem/2018/AW1.120/ode_uri.mp4 UTF concerning part starts around 10 Minutes.Very interesting talk, thanks to Stephan Bergmann. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.

https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128019 --- Comment #4 from Peter --- I added the 67649 for reference on an issue. Because an String Overhaul has the high possibility of fixing the other Bug. (IMHO) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.

[Issue 127966] MacOS: Current directory wrongly set to root directory "/" for scripts
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127966 --- Comment #4 from Jim Jagielski --- It would be super easy to force a chdir to $HOME in the code on macOS along where we ensure $PATH has /usr/local/bin (BUGZ127965)... [Issue 125006] Calc Consistently crashing, usually with "Fatal Error - Bad Allocation"
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125006 --- Comment #37 from oopla --- Update on my side too after #c36 ... Given a try to 4.1.6, seemed (more) stable but same very annoying slowness as 3.4.1 I'm using. Though at some point it crashed with no msg / clue opening a trivial latin1 .csv (bank transactions). 'slowness' means: click-dx on a cell ... 1s ... 2s ... 3s ... finally context menu pops up. Same with many/most other actions on menubars / on context. Re-tried 4.1.5 then (was there while reporting #127890), same thing as 4.1.6. Seems the OS build makes the differences then, now it's: OS: Win 10 Pro 1809 27.5.18 build 17763.253 dted 17.11.18 but +latest patches. Seeing no gain, rather perhaps a somewhat worse stability, I'm reverting to 3.4.1 for now. BTW looks like the AOOo win binary is 32 bit only, no 64bit binary available? thx -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
