I was able to reproduce this bug also inc Calc: 4.0.1 Build:9714 - Rev. 152495.
I am running open office on Windows 8.1, with intel i7 2.8 Ghz processor and 6
gb of ram. I also am experiencing slow down or delayed responsiveness when
editing the provided file above. After I edit one cell and click to another
cell and begin to type I notice a few seconds of delay before I see the result
of my keystrokes.
To reproduce the bug:
1. Open the file in calc.
2. click 1 cell edit it.
3. Click another cell and edit it.
4. Repeat step 3 a few times and bug will result.
This bug is an important issue simply because it can significantly cut down on
the productivity of the user. If the user is forced to wait a few seconds to
see if their edits are being applied to the cell then they will take much
longer to complete any given task. This also makes errors by the user more
likely as they wouldn't even be able to see if they made an error until a few
keystrokes later, and when working quickly it is common to forget to go back
and check.
