That's the http://d3kbcqa49mib13.cloudfront.net/spark-1.2.0-bin-cdh4.tgz link you get - Note that choosing Direct Download or Mirror changes the hyperlink with Javascript. It succeeds on Ubuntu 14 too. I'd like to close this as likely due to a corrupt download on your end.
