Lans Carstensen commented on TS-119:
1) +1, it's often desirable to only utilize RAM for caching. It would be nice
to have a cleaner architecture than working around the issue with /dev/shm or
equiv.
2) Bonus points for allowing RAM-only or disk on a per-remap basis. Example
use case is a REST service proxy at /services to be cached exclusively to RAM,
data at /data to be cached to disk.
RAM only caching
Key: TS-119
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-119
Project: Traffic Server
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Cache
Reporter: John Plevyak
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 3.3.3
It would be nice if we could run with a RAM only cache.
