Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a *Lead Technical Consultant* in our San Francisco, CA. *Job Overview:* Supporting our national DevOps practice, this role is specifically for a Kubernetes automation engineer leveraging tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, Prometheus on Azure Cloud. The automation engineer role involves the development, testing, and promotion workflows around building and delivering automated infrastructure solutions. As a field consultant consistent communication is critical, as well as the ability to act in a self-starter role for projects both on-site and in some cases remote working environments. As a member or our growing DevOps team, you will be working in a distributed virtual team environment with other practitioners such as solution architects, developers, and operations teams across the United States. As a DevOps Lead Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development and delivery lifecycle which includes assessing CI/CD adoption maturity, system configuration best practices, solution implementation, and in some cases documentation for key areas such as continuous integration, continuous testing, application security code scanning, and continuous deployment of various applications and technologies. Our clients have high expectations, and as a member working in a virtual team environment that can be highly ambiguous, you will collaborate with client teams such as developers, operations, testing teams, security teams, and stakeholders to interpret current DevOps needs and provide process and technology recommendations and skills to deliver various DevOps platform solutions / technologies. As a member working in a team environment you will work with team-members of varying years of experience and skills on interpretation/translation of DevOps solutions. · Provide automation engineering support using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, container workflows, Prometheus, Istio, etc. · Provide operational support of containers as a service on Azure cloud · Support on-site customer installations, mentoring and training of other resources as needed. · Mentor client groups and individuals on how to use container automation for continuous delivery; evaluates such training to ensure that training is effective, using feedback and testing to continually improve the systems used. · Work within the Client teams in the elicitation of requirements and development of specific use cases. · Self-starter able to keep up to date on changes and developments in enterprise computing infrastructure and cloud computing provider industries. · Regularly collaborate with internal teams to provide technical assistance and content where applicable. · Excellent written skills required to documents services provided to customers, including new code, techniques and processes, in such a way as to make such services more efficient in the future. - Passionate engineers with with 2-5 years of automation engineering experience. - Client facing or consulting experience highly preferred. - Skilled problem solvers with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions. - Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments. - Future technology leaders- dynamic individuals energized by fast paced personal and professional growth. - Phenomenal communicators who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers. - Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major. - Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design. - Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies. - Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents. - Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff. - Strong DevOps engineer with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm with hands on experience is required - Experiences building sustainable workflows around the management of containers as a service preferred - Experience migrating from ACS to AKS highly preferred - Scripting experiences on Azure Cloud platform using Kubernetes Services (AKS), Docker [Microservices, Spark submit, Angular and Node JS -- *Regards,* *Vijay D* Recruiter (State Govt Support) Phone: 312 967 7072 22260 Haggerty Rd, Suite # 285,Northville, MI 48167.
