Our Sales Representative is required to identify and call in the targeted
prospects in the media industry. The person needs to be proactive, should
be willing to work independently and be comfortable cold calling prospects.
Should be able to think outside the box and find creative solutions. Key
result area will be the ability to secure a fixed number of appointments
with key decision makers with the targeted accounts and to cross
sell/upsell in existing accounts. Future growth/bonus will depend on the
above results. Opportunity to move into an outside sales person based on
performance. Expectations and Opportunity: Ability to schedule at least
teleconferences/face to face meetings with key decision makers in the
target accounts assigned by the VP and Sales Director. Future growth/bonus
will depend on the number accounts that become new business for accounts
for NIIT Media Tech. Should be comfortable with social media, or the
ability to learn, and to be able to use social media as a sales and
marketing tool. This position could have the opportunity to grow into a Jr.
Business Development position, with time, experience and proven results. Job

*Responsibilities *
• Cold-calling prospects are generated by internal and external sources of
leads.
• Identify decision- makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
• Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate new contacts from within
client base.
• Collaborate with Sales Team and Sales Leadership Team to determine
necessary strategic sales approaches.
• Create and deliver qualified opportunities to Sales Team where
appropriate.
• Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects and generate
reports using MS Word or Excel.
• Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Sales Team with calls-to-action,
dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
• Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations,
and other sales actions.
• Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits,
and other events.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and
e-mail cross-sell and up-sell.
• Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
• Emphasize product/service line benefits
• Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts/contact
information in database.
• Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position. Ability
to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits
• Other duties as assigned
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, OR an
acceptable combination of education and experience
• 1 to 2 years of direct work experience in a sales or telesales capacity
• Demonstrated ability to find prospects and identify opportunities for the
sales team to follow up.
