Details:



The End User Computing Team manages the design, implementation and support
of the desktop environment, which includes Windows 7 workstations, laptops
and virtual desktops and will be upgrading these machines to Windows 10
Starting in 2016. Responsibilities include defining hardware standards,
engineering and securing the standard desktop platform, architecture and
design of our Software Distribution infrastructure and Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure. Research, evaluate and provide documented recommendations
for new technologies and tools within the Information Technology field
(specifically Desktop Technologies).



Required Skills:

   - Working knowledge of desktop OS subsystems - process, storage, memory,
   file systems, etc.
   - 3+ years of experience engineering and deploying SCCM 2012 R2 platform
   in a large enterprise environment.
   - 3+ years experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) with
   recent experience with MDT 2013 Update 2
   - 3+ years developing and deploying unattended operating system
   installations for workstations/desktops/laptops with an in-depth
   understanding of hardware-independent imaging capabilities.
   - 2+ years experience (direct experience, including best practices) in
   Engineering, including knowledge of computer/network systems infrastructure
   requirements and standards
   - Extensive scripting experience in Powershell
   - Experience with desktop virtualization technologies (Virtual Desktop
   Infrastucture and Application Virtualization)
   - Experience troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and
   configuration management through Group Policy Objects (GPO) as well as the
   ability to create custom policies.
   - Solid knowledge of the Windows registry, WMI, and file system.
   - A solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies
   including: Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and DHCP are
   required.
   - Should have good written and verbal communication skills and strong
   teamwork capabilities.
   - Must be proactive and take individual initiative
   - Must work well with others, be a team player and be involved in
   collaborative efforts
   - Must work well under pressure and be able to adjust quickly to changes
   in priorities and goals
   - Must displays initiative to learn new technologies and resolve issues
   across the organization and with partners/vendors.
   - 2+ years experience with System Center Orchestrator 2012
   - Experience with Microsoft InTune a plus
   - Experience with VMWare VDI a plus

Bachelor’s Degree with Major in Computer Science field or Microsoft
Certified System Engineer certification and 3+ years of relevant
experience.

*Responsibilities:*


The Packaging Services Team is responsible for Windows desktop software
standards. We ensure high standards of quality are achieved through
technical and practical expertise in desktop software automation. This
includes ensuring that we have a supportable desktop environment for
optimal end-user productivity. The Packaging Engineer resource will have an
opportunity to work on exciting projects as the Packaging Services team
plays a key role in the upgrade of our desktop environment.

The Packaging Engineer is responsible for automation and testing both
physical and virtual application packages using Wise Package Studio,
Flexera Admin Studio, and Microsoft App V Application Sequencer. The
candidate will use Microsoft SCCM 2012 and App V Publishing Server to
deploy software to virtual and physical desktops and servers. Additional
responsibilities include; research and analysis of software solutions,
developing and maintaining documentation for supported software and team
processes, assist with software audits, generate reporting, removal of
obsolete and non-standard software, and troubleshooting package
installation and distribution issues. The Packaging Engineer also works
closely with other infrastructure engineering teams and business customers.


*Qualifications:*


*Required*

· Comprehensive knowledge of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008/2012
along with an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active directory environments.

· *A minimum of 3 years professional experience utilizing packaging
tools such as InstallShield, Wise Packaging Studio, Flexera Admin Studio or
others along with Configuration management tools used for deployment such
as Microsoft SCCM 2007/2012 is preferred.*

· *Must have experience with developing and delivering applications
virtually using App V and App V Publishing Server.*

· Must be able to troubleshoot the lifecycle of a deployment
process, including analyzing packaging issues and distribution failures.

· *Strong scripting skills, utilizing Wise, VB, and or PowerShell
scripting.*

· Excellent testing skills required to validate software packages
and the impact of their installation on the target platform.

· Must be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment while
working on multiple assignments concurrently.

· Detail oriented with strong problem solving and time management
skills.

· Ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships
with peers, vendors, management, and other departments within IT.

· Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Must possess exceptional work ethic and positive attitude.

· Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions
and daily job responsibilities
