overview:

our client is extending its web application to manage devices and needs an
experienced web developer with strong ruby on rails skills for this
initiative.

the current web application is built using ruby on rails as the primary
development platform. the application uses a mongodb database for its
datastore and exposes the data with a portfolio of restful web services.

the ideal candidate will be very experienced building web applications
using ruby on rails with mongodb. the candidate should also be very
experienced in using javascript, ajax and restful web services.

familiarity with common javascript libraries and frameworks is also
desired. these include the datatables.net plugin, google maps api and
other 3rd party tools to visualize data.

the current solution also includes a custom server built with c. the
candidate should have some experience developing server based applications
in c.

experience building web based e-commerce sites is a plus.
