The lead role is also expected to more actively steer the strategy and projects connected to our ‘Executive Information System’. This position will coordinate with other business units on special data projects, such as third party data packaging, securing, and transmitting. High attention to detail and a drive to deliver excellence in every task are core values of the company and a principle characteristic required of this position. *Essential Functions: * Create new reporting data models by working with internal clients, directors, analysts, and developers to deliver high-performance, high-integrity business intelligence reporting. Work with internal constituents to understand business requirements and goals, and help capture the strategy, content, and features for layout of our reporting environments. Develop ad-hoc and stored-procedure queries to investigate data issues or create new reports structures for business units. Create ETL processes to populate summary data structures and analysis cubes. Use knowledge of tools to create extract analysis from cubed or tabular data. Define data access methods or processes for data sources upon which all future reporting will be built. Prioritize data warehouse development and coordinate development roadmaps. Collaborate with PMs on DW project statuses, while also identifying potential risks and issues. Partner with DBAs and developers to establish high-level time and effort estimates based on client requirements during report project kickoffs, and then refining the estimate during each iteration. Participate in brainstorming sessions regarding functional requirements, content organization, process flow, report specifications, and technical integration. Become a subject area expert, willing to share our data warehouse designs with analysts. Perform additional duties as assigned. *Desired Skills and Experience* *Education and Experience: * 5+ years’ relational database and T-SQL experience, at least 1 of which must be as part of teams developing complex, multi-data source queries for business consumption. 5+ years’ of direct ETL SSIS ETL development experience. Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience. Professional experience with high performance T-SQL development methodologies and SQL Reporting Services; Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 programming practices. Fluency with appropriate tools- including SQL Management Studio, SQL Server Data Tools, Query Analyzer, and Visio, as well as the entire Microsoft Office suite. Candidates with experience with Excel 2013 PowerPivot, Power Query, and Power View are more closely considered. Working knowledge of MDX and DAX query languages. Expert experience in designing and developing SSIS ETL routines for data warehouses. The ability to express and apply data warehouse design best practices. Has demonstrated through prior roles the ability to implement DW standards and centralized ETL logging. Intermediate knowledge how to troubleshoot network communication configuration. Direct experience with applications that required MS Windows Server administration and Active Directory authentication. Must be detail-oriented data analysis expert with deep knowledge of relational database structures. Professional exposure to Web-based applications using SQL Server database back-end. Professional experience in lending or financial services, e-commerce are a nice-to-have. An understanding of project management principals. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously. Must have the desire to work on new, innovative, cutting-edge technologies. Excellent verbal communication skills.
