Masalhnya kenapa dulu,brur??Aku anggap masalahnya sering putus nyambung. AKu coba bantu dari pengalaman apa yg pernah aku dapet di kntr sini. Brur bisa coba masuk ke IP switch yang error.setelah itu coba masuk ke menu Device View. Setelah itu akan tampil gambar yang menunjukkan ada beberapa kabel yang terpasang dalam masing2 port yang ada di dalam switch. Brur coba klik kabel mana yang sering error, lalu pilih Statistic,maka akan tampil windows baru seperti file attach. Disitu brur tinggal lihat angka yang ada pada CRC error. Apabila angak yang ditunjukin semakin lama semakin besar, pasti penyebabnya ada pada portnya. Tetapi apabila angkanya relatif stabil(lebih baik kalau angkanya 0), maka bisa jadi problemnya dari yang lain, misalnya kabel atau mungkin yang lain. kalau berkenan mungkin bis dicoba dahulu langkah ini. Jadi Virtual Machine buatan Workstation tidak bisa digunakan di Server 1.0, tapi sebaliknya bisa. Oiya kenalin ya, aku Newbie di bidang IT neh. nama aku Dodo. Aku pingin tanya sekitar IIX neh. Kantor aku kan langganan Internet pake paket IIX Indosatm2 dan pake Proxy Server, jadi hanya bisa mengakses lokal saja atau indonesia aja. Aku pernah denger ada cara buat ngakalin hal itu, seperti kita kasih IP public kita ke server luar, sehingga server luar itu yang nantinya akan mengakses IP kita. Tapi aku ga tau caranya gimana, pake program apaan, trus server mana yang bisa kita pake seperti itu? Apakah temen2 ada yang tahu caranya? Dear IT'ers, Mau tanya, apakah sekarang di Indonesia sudah ada lembaga yg menyelenggarakan ujian untuk CISSP?? Kalau tidak salah, tahun 2007 lalu untuk ujiannya masih harus di lakukan di negara tetangga (Singapore n Malaysia). Jika sudah ada, boleh tau nama lembaganya? Jika memang belum ada, apakah ada lembaga (training center) yang menyenggarakan CISSP preparation exam beserta paket ujiannya (ujian di selenggarakan di negara tetangga)? Mumpung ada yang ngomongin ghost, pernah ada yang coba ngeghost hdd yang di mirror atau raid5 di server HP yang Raidnya pake hardware card smart array? terus ghost tersebut di restore di server lain yang specnya sama, kecuali spec smart arraynya. Kalo untuk serius, jangan deh pake vmware server atau wks, risknya tinggi, didesain untuk development saja. Kalo untuk serius, pake vmware Infra 3, corenya vmware ESX, nah ini baru ok. Kita juga lagi mau implement disini. Untuk VI 3, dia punya fasilitas semacam Vmotion, HA, cluster, dimana once host fisik down, secepat kilat bisa mindahin vm ke host yang lain. Asal vm ditaro di VMFS yang biasanya pake external storage semacam Fiber Channel ato ISCSI. Juga ada fasilitas backup yang baik, dimana bisa membackup image vm dari snapshot tanpa perlu mematikan server. Dari sisi availability cukup bagus, tapi saya pun masih proses POC juga. Selain reduce h/w, juga reduce listrik billing, karena kalo di luar negeri semacam australia, beberapanya pembayaran listrik dihitung per fisik server. Citrix dengan Xen nya juga kayaknya bagus, Microsoft masih ngembangin Hyper-V. ~o 2008/7/16 Faisal [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Saya beerncana melakukan simulasi virtualaisasi mail server (exchage) just in case ada disaster (amit..amit) dgn menggunakan VMWare.
