Karena e-mail yang diberikan oleh kantor maka otomatis hanya boleh dipake untuk kepentingan kantor aja. Selama ini sih saya memegang kode etik untuk masalah privacy user. Dan saya belum pernah membuka/membaca email user, kecuali user telah berhenti atau request dari user itu sendiri. Nah karena ada mail server sering kepenuhan karena user yang kurang/malas maintenance mail box mereka. jadi pihak management memerintahkan saya untuk membuka email user dan memindahkan/membackup/delete ( dalam bahasa mereka clean up ) email masing2 user. Saya telah memberitahu bahwa solusinya bukan seperti itu. Tapi mereka tetap ngotot. Selain jumlah user yang banyak hal lain yang menjadi perhatian saya adalah UU ITE atau hukum di Indonesia. Di UU ITE bab VII pasal 30-31 seperti ada hal yang menyatakan bahwa itu merupakan perbuatan yang dilarang. Nah di sini yang saya tanyakan apakah di kalangan IT sendiri ada yang mengalami hal seperti ini. Apakah jika hal ini dilanggar bisa di proses secara hukum ( maksudnya di bawa ke meja hijau ).
