Lama sekali saya tidak posting (hanya sebagai pembaca), tapi kali ini jadi gatal untuk posting, deh. Soalnya agak kaget lihat jawaban Pak Wiempy soal IIS vs ICS. IIS fungsinya seperti yang dimiliki Apache Server, tapi produk Microsoft. Soal ICS, rasanya sampai Windows Server 2003 R2 bahkan Vista (belum coba) sekalipun rasanya namanya masih ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). Kemungkinan ICS juga akan tetap ada pada Windows Server 2008 nanti. ICS itu Internet Connection Sharing yang gunanya untuk berbagi koneksi internet untuk beberapa komputer dalam satu jaringan, ya miriplah dengan proxy. IIS itu Internet Information System adalah web server built in dalam Windows 2000 server dan versi selebihnya. IIS bukanlah untuk internet sharing tp dia adalah web server. Kedua komputer sudah dalam satu jaringan kan? Untuk dua komputer bisa pakai kabel UTP, dengan konfigurasi cross, jadikan workgroup aja. Hmm.. Sebenernya pake windows biasa juga ada fasilitas sharingnya kok, di properties LAN , advance trus centang aja pilihan connection sharingnya. Udah selesei deh. Tinggal komputer yang satu lagi arahin default gatewaynya ke komputer yang di sharing tadi. jangan lupa dnsnya juga. Untuk cara kerja wingate juga kurang lebih sama. Install di salah satu komputer, trus kalo NATnya di aktifin. KOmputer satunya lagi yang jadi client tinggal default gatewanya di arahin ke komputer yang ada wingatenya. di helpnya windows sebenernya sudah lengkap. bahkan gak perlu seting ip segala, semua bisa otomatis nyambung. pertama bikin koneksi ke internet. selanjutnya di properties koneksinya bikin share internet ke komputer lain. terus bikin seting jaringan di setup network wizard di accesories. tentu dua komputer tersebut sudah terkoneksi sebelumnya mau pake hub atau kabel crosslink, gak perlu s/w lain. x808x wrote: coba ke ilmukomputer.org sol.
