[iText-questions] how to read an existed .pdf file and copy its content to the tails of an document which have been document.open() -ed
i am a new commer to iText, here is part of the code: ... Document report = new Document(); FileOutputStream genFile = new FileOutputStream(fileName+".pdf"); PdfWriter reportWriter = PdfWriter.getInstance(report, genFile); PdfCopy reportCopy = new PdfCopy(report, genFile); ... PdfReader reader1 = new PdfReader(file1); //retrieve the total number of pages int pageNum = reader1.getNumberOfPages(); for( int i=1;i <= pageNum; i++){ document.newPage(); PdfImportedPage page = reportCopy.getImportedPage(reader1, i); reportCopy.addPage(page); } this doesn't work. while i found examples in http://itextdocs.lowagie.com/tutorial/#part1 , they read n and copy and CREAT to 1. And i have to use this way too: to store the file in processing first, then read it back, along with the file which i want to copy... but i am afraid this way may decrease the performance. so i want to do it this way... ... document.open() document.add(part2Generated); ... document.add(partnReadFromExistedFile);// read in files and attached into document's tail. ... document.close() ... thanks a lot!~ best wishes and looking forward for your kindly suggestions... ^_^ - Take Surveys.
