Re: install wigit in for crosswalk.

2014-05-30 Thread McGee, Art
I've installed the package crosswalk on JAN 15 EOY with the zypper
reference. I have been unable to install a wigit.

Command: xwalkctl -i Browser.wgt

Response: Service 'org.crosswalkproject.Runtime1' could not be reached:
 Error colling StartServiceByName for org.crosswalkproject.Runtime1:
Timeout was reached

I am running this from the console in the wayland gui.

Is there something I'm missing.

xwalk-launcher won’t work with Modello apps, this is a known bug that
supposedly just got fixed. So for now use xwalkctl to get a list of your
apps, then use
/home/app/.config/xwalk-service/applications//bin/xwalk-.

Oh and another option is to point your zypper repo to
http://download.tizen.org/snapshots/tizen/ivi/ivi/latest/repos/ivi/ia32/packages
. You’ll then be able to zypper install crosswalk.

Hi Art,

You can get it from https://crosswalk-project.org/#documentation/downloads in
rpm form, rather than building it yourself. The current IVI images will have
it pre-installed.

RE: [TizenIVI 3.0]Audio Record

2014-05-30 Thread VanCutsem, Geoffroy
There is no GUI app that does that (that I'm aware of) but you can look at
parecord (command-line) to play with this (works on PulseAudio, which I'd
recommend over going straight to ALSA). You could also examine its source code.

Hi
I would do this in other way 1st you dump the image tizen to sdcard
then you shift or resize the 1st part to get some space for uboot
and kernel since it written directly to disk (step 2)

then make sure to update "root= " kernel param in uboot config file or
built into kernel

Note, all those steps are not tizen generic and I'm sure it's documented
elsewhere

I wont be easily reachable next week (TdcSf2013) but I'm sure you will
figure it out :)

if not please add TODO on the unclear parts of this page

Good luck
