JDK 6 u10 beta is now live on java.sun.com (see the main page for a link)
Although we'll continue to put out regular weekly builds as we fix bugs,
this is feature complete and has been through a full testing cycle.
If you haven't tried 6u10 recently, please do so now and file issues at
bugs.sun.com
For those not aware, 6u10 is the release with
- Direct3D acceleration for Java 2D on default
- New Nimbus L&F for Swing
- New Quick-starter for windows
- New Java Kernel installer for windows for smaller, faster download and
first time startup
- New Java plugin for better stability, plus many new cool features.
- Updated hotspot VM
- plus, plus, plus ..
We hope to GA/FCS this summer, so the more and earlier feedback the better.
