[JAWS-Users] Re: How to copy files that are saved in microsoft word too the a drive.

2007-02-17 Thread Christopher Hallsworth

Why not just use the save as dialogue in word, move the cursor to the
beginning of the file name with home, and type a: (without quotes) in
front of it? This is affectively the same as what you're trying to
achieve. Hope that helps.

Hello Kathy,

Maybe you have changed or didn't save the sound scheme made by you
previously. Check the list of schemes to see if the one you set is there. If
it isn't , follow the instructions Bill gave you. When you're done save the
scheme.
I'm sorry I couldn't reply immediately but your e-mail arrived in 3AM in the

[JAWS-Users] Re: How to copy files that are saved in microsoft word too the a drive.

2007-02-17 Thread Kerryann Ifill

To copy files do the following:
Go to the list file list (my documents for example) where the files are
stored. You have several choices for storage:
1. while on the file, use the applications key or shift f10 and arrow down
to send to press enter and then choose 3/1 floppy. I'm assuming you would
have the disk in.
2. you could simply use the copy command and then go to the 3/1 floppy list
view and paste them.
2. You could simply re-open the files in Microsoft word and choose the save
as command and enter the a :\ before the file name.

In future though, these kind of questions beog more on the blind computing
list than on this list as they are strictly not jaws questions. Get in
touch with ric justice our moderator to find out how to join that ist.

[JAWS-Users] Bug in JAWS 8 demo

2007-02-17 Thread Christopher Hallsworth

Hi all,
Could anyone duplicate the following problem please?
1. Create a frame.
2. Press alt+enter to open its properties.
3. Control-tab to the Events page.
4. Press alt+a to add an event.
5. Everything works well, until the last part. After pressing enter,
JAWS crashes and I believe creates a memory dump.
Thanks. BTW Using JAWS 8.00.423 demo.

[JAWS-Users] Re: Mouse Over Question

2007-02-17 Thread Christopher Hallsworth

Just to add that this keystroke would work in anywhere where the virtual
cursor is used. Hope that helps.

There is a specific keystroke in JAWS to active the OnMouseOver element,
and that is - if I'm not mistaken, which is possible - ctrl+insert+enter
(in Internet Explorer). . Some OnMouseOver links display extra text
that wouldn't be shown if the MouseOver element wasn't activated. It's
covered a bit in the JAWS Help topics.

Mouse over is simply an event that is coded with HTML. It basically
means that if a sighted user hovers over the link with their mouse
something happens, such as playing a sound. I think it's just the case
of pressing enter on the mouse over in order to perform the action,
but I am not exactly sure. Hope that helps.

I highly recommend an e-mail provider that offers a web mail interface.

JAWS works brilliantly with it, and so does any other screen reader that
supports browsing the internet. Hope that helps.
