[JAWS-Users] Re: Doing a repair on JAWS

2007-05-06 Thread Lenny McHugh

Hi Arianna ,
I also found this interesting. When I talked to FS support I was told to
again download version Version 8.0.210 7 and run the setup. I was told that
I would then be presented with a repair option. No way, the only choice I
had was to go to add/remove and remove jaws 8. Then re-run the setup
program.
All previous versions gave me the repair option.

I have version 8.0 and i wanted to update from the FS site. i was told to
do a repair on JAWS since some file or files names had ben changed--i never
changed a JAWS file. Anyway, i looked all over the place where i thought
the repair would be and FS did it again, changed something. Ah well, maybe

Hi Arianna,
You didn't say which version of Jaws,
but try this:
Put your Jaws installation cd in for the version you want to repair.
The setup program should start automatically, and inform you that Jaws is
already installed,
and then ask you what you want to do.
This is where you will get the repair option.
No, your mind didn't go blank, FS changed things a little. smile.

HI Gentlemen,

I've been having some major issues lately with jaws, s I've been
incommunicado.

Like right now.
Since yesterday, I can Microsoft outlook to behave right.
I sued to be able to tab over from my inbox and read my emails without
opening, now it just goes to my tree view with in box and the other folders.
I tried running a jfw repair, and tells me that set up found and error.
I'm seriously thinking of halling out the perkins broiler and giving up

[JAWS-Users] Question about Miranda contact list

2007-05-06 Thread Demetry Yousifidou

Hi friends,

Can someone me explain, simple how can I create some groups in the Miranda
contact list?
If I trying with an right click I get the context menu, but only Create a
sub group. I don't want that. I only want creating a main group...
BTW: I am using the newest Alpha Version #25 of Miranda 0.7.0.

Thank you for your help,

2007-05-06 Thread Arianna Calesso

Well, Lenny, I did the repair and was able to download and install the
upgrade, but when I was doing the repair it asked me if i wanted to add more
synthesizers and because I thought the ones i had would remain I pushed the
no button. Now I don't have my DecTalk USB which I like very much, so I'll
have to do another repair to get that back. Darn! They don't make it easy,
do they!

[JAWS-Users] Re: Doing a repair on JAWS

2007-05-06 Thread Arianna Calesso

No, that didn't work because two of the synthesizers i use weren't there, so
I'll have to go through the whole repair thing again. It looks as if when
you do a repair, you need to add any synths you'll want to be available.

Ah well, so it goes.

Hi Arianna,
Try this to add your synthesizer:
Start menu, programs, Jaws 8.0 sub menu.
Then, tools, and synthesizer and braille manager.
From this dialogue you should be able to add the synthesizers you want.
