[JAWS-Users] Windows Media Player and JAWS

2007-05-26 Thread carlene knight

 Hi:

I would like to know if anybody has had any experience with Media Player
11 in conjunction with JFW? I keep getting prompted to upgrade, but I
know of one person who has had trouble with 11, and my husband who is
sighted says it's set up a bit different than 10. I'm running JFW 7.10
with Windows XP. I don't want to get myself into something I shouldn't
because I'm not a computer wizard. Any feedback would be greatly
appreciated.

[JAWS-Users] Re: Jaws find command not reading properly

2007-05-26 Thread Negoslav Sabev

I'm using Jaws 8 and IE 6.

Original message:

-~--~~~~--~~--~--~---Hi:
What version of JFW are you using? If you have upgraded to IE 7.5, and
have JAWS 7, you will need to go to the Freedom Scientific site and
download an upgrade, I believe it's 7.10, but I'm not positive. There
is information on the page to further explain. I had the same problem,
and that's how I corrected it.

[JAWS-Users] Re: jaws losing focus

2007-05-26 Thread Lenny McHugh

Hi Flor,
What you described usually happens to me when I want to forward an email.
Jaws stops speaking until I use windows m and then bring outlook back into
focus. When I am reading a web page jaws just puts me in the outlook express
in box.

I have also found this, (and think it's a bug, or something I thought had
been fixed before), when reading or getting into RSS feeds. Hit Windows+m a
few times in succession, to get JAWS to speak again, then alt+tab back.
Sometimes, it may then be necessary to start SayAll again with a press of
Insert+DownArrow.

[JAWS-Users] list memo

2007-05-26 Thread David A Ferrin

Hello and welcome to all the new members of the list. The count is at an all
time high right now at 271, and even though the archives address is counted
in there this thing has grown much larger then I figured it ever would.
Never the less to the business at hand. The current plan is to move this
list on Friday June first to my domain provider's server. It uses the
Mailman program for list traffic and I've been testing and configuring it
for the past week and a half. Rick and I believe it is ready for prime time
right now, but I'm giving it another week to press the lapels ETC. The plan
is right now to automatically subscribe everybody who is on here at that
time to the new list. I feel that will give you folks and us a bit less work
to do during the transition. I am planning on doing an audio on the mailman
client this week for those who aren't familiar with it, and to be honest I
need to review a couple of things too. You will all be able to go no mail or
set digest mode yourselves through the email interface. Also the program
claims to handle bounce processing on it's own, that's way cool for us let
me tell you. Lastly for right now if anybody doesn't wish to make the move
they will be able to unsubscribe from the new list as easy as it is to come
or go here. I still need to bring the rest of the team up to speed, but that
shouldn't be too tuff once we all hook up.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to:
