Hi, sorry if this has been covered recently but I have only just joined
the

mailing list.

Some time ago after doing a Google search I saw a jaws user reporting
that

the freeview USB device from freecom was compatible with Jaws.

I have purchased this and installed it but Jaws will not read any of what
is
on the screen. I am not sure if this is because the software that came
with

it is later than the one that the person was using who said it was usable
with Jaws?

Any help and advice any of you could give me will be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

It's basically a UK-based free-to-air digital television service provider. However,
www.freeview.co.uk
and its derivatives, will shed further light on it. Also, looking up "Freeview" in Wikipedia may illuminate. Hope that explains.

Hi, thanks for your quick response.

I have seen those posts that your Google search gave you, in fact it was
this that made me purchase the product. I am not having any luck with the
things that they are suggesting so I am wondering if my unit has more recent
software than they have? And that is not now Jaws friendly.

Unfortunately the emails from the people on that group are cut short.

If any of you could take a look at the Google link that you posted and if
you know the people that were talking about the unit perhaps you could ask
them to e-mail me off list so we don't clutter up this list or even give me

   mind.

   Thanks once again.

Any help and advice any of you could give me will be appreciated.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Freeview usb stick

Hi, sorry if this has been covered recently but I have only just joined the
mailing list.

Some time ago after doing a Google search I saw a jaws user reporting that
the freeview USB device from freecom was compatible with Jaws.

I have purchased this and installed it but Jaws will not read any of what is
on the screen. I am not sure if this is because the software that came with
it is later than the one that the person was using who said it was usable
with Jaws?

Any help and advice any of you could give me will be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark
