Re: [JAWS-Users] Automatic Bullets and numbering
Hi Ann, Sometimes that works and sometimes you end up with an extra line space and more bullets or numbers. With all of the automatic features disabled you can always highlight the text you want bulleted or numbered, go to Bullets and Numbering in the format menu, highlight your selection, press enter on it and you are done. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ann Byrne Sent: Saturday, November 03, 2007 8:26 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Automatic Bullets and numbering If you press enter twice after the last numbered thing, Word will stop sequencing. In a resume, how do you highlight just the lines in the resume with shift down-arrow? Then would the bullet be inserted prior to the first character of the first line of the block of highlighted text? Re: [JAWS-Users] COMPUTER EMERGENCY
But hang on, once you've muted the sound, it will stay muted till you unmute it, even if you restart your computer. This is why I'm asking how could one possibly hear system sounds, as well as other sounds, such as speech, if the sound's muted in the first place? They can't. Just my two pence worth. Re: [JAWS-Users] COMPUTER EMERGENCY
After thinking about your question, you are correct. My question is why would a person want to mute their speech? Yes if you have the Jaws icon on the desktop. But the surest way to do this is to go to the run dialog with Windows Key+R and then for instance type jaws90 and that should do it. Yes, this is one of the great features of my HP Pavilion. I'd hate to give that up. This book installs from the Program CD when you get it and you can review this DAISY Book with the FS Reader Demo product that is used to do all the training material shipped with JAWS. We also provide mp3 files for most of our training material if you would like to listen to it on the go and today, we posted the mp3 version of the What's New recording on the JAWS headquarters page. If you'd like to give it a listen, you can download it now from: http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_products/JAWS_HQ.asp Regards, Eric Damery Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/managers.php If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/managers.php If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/managers.php If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/managers.php If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from
Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS not talking at start-up
Shirley, aren't we lucky to have kids who love and help us? My sons and daughters bail me out often. And sometimes I do good things for them. But the surest way to do this is to go to the run dialog with Windows Key+R and then for instance type jaws90 and that should do it. That is how I usually restart my Jaws. Re: [JAWS-Users] Creating more than one header in a single document?
Debbie, This is exactly what section breaks are for. If you put a next page section break in a document instead of a hard page break, you will find you can create headers and footers for each section. To insert a section break go to the Insert menu and choose Break, and on the dialogue that appears, choose Next page. In Word 2007 the keystrokes Alt, I, B still get the Break dialogue. Hi: I know how to create a header, but I want a different header after entering a hard page break. For example the beginning of the document would have todays date on every printed page. Next if I then hit ctrl+enter, and wanted tomorrows date on the next header, wouldn't the same header end up on the page? How can I get the new pages in the document to reflect tomorrow's date? Sorry if this is unclear! Thanks for the help, Deb.
