Re: [JAWS-Users] bounced messages
I am a Roadrunner customer at home, and sometimes Roadrunner will block messages from certain lists, because they believe them to be spam. For Roadrunner customers, you can go to http://security.rr.com and get instructions on how to proceed if you feel that list mail is being blocked. You will need to know the IP address of the list in question. Fortunately, in my case, the list owner gave me that info, and I have been able to perform the unblock when this has occurred. What I have found, however, is that this is a band aid at best, and sooner or later the block will be reinstated, and you will have to again perform the operation to remove it. To further darken these murky waters, I too am a RoadRunner customer and experienced bouncing messages from JAWS-Users and Blind Computing. However, I did not need to go to the RoadRunner site to put an end to that condition. I merely responded to the re-activation messages and the messages resumed. Re: [JAWS-Users] bounced messages
If that happens then you will get a reactivation request from the mailman program once a day for 7 days. If a person does not reply to any of them then their account will be removed from the list automatically by mailman. Personally in my experience 7 days is normally more than enough time for somebody to check their email. Even if you are removed it's a simple matter to subscribe once again because the mailman program can't ban anybody which is a good thing. I like that task to be handled by technology and not by the list owners, certainly an advantage over the free mailing list services out there for my taste. However, I did not need to go to the RoadRunner site to put an end to that condition. I merely responded to the re-activation messages and the messages resumed. During the time of the bouncing messages from the two lists identified above, I experienced no such problems with the other list to which I am a subscriber. Re: [JAWS-Users] Say all
Hi, While using the SAPI5 synthesizer, go to jaws options menu, voices, global adjustment. Tab a few times until you here the punctuation combo box and select the level you want. If you only want this for Outlook express, make sure the modify application settings or whatever it is radio button is checked, if not check the modify default one. Sorry if I sound harsh, I am trying to use NVDA with the latest Firefox, ff3rc2 seems to crash when you tab to the content with NVDA running, so have to use superslow IE, gur'r'rhrhrhhrhhr! - Original Message - From: JoJo and pablo [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2008 7:40 AM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Say all Hi, I am using the latests version of Jaws with Outlook Express and am trying to read my e-mails with the say-all command. I am thinking that it would be very nice if Freedom Scientific could market a version of JAWS loaded on to a u3 flash drive as it will be a useful tool for those of us who need to use computers in various locations without having to install JFW each time. Of course, there will have to be safeguards for internet authorization and if there are any updates to be had, the software can also be used to check with the internet and to recommend what action can be taken. With a bit of thought I am sure that this versatile version of JFW would be a godsend and one could take it anywhere and after being used on a computer and the program is terminated the computer settings could be returned to the original settings. It would be even better than the thumb drive version that is now available. I sincerely hope that my thoughts expressed in these few lines will evoke positive responses from members of this list.
