Re: [JAWS-Users] Has anyone had problems with installation of programsor selecting graphical buttons?
Why do you need a particularly old version of JAWS? I mean, JAWS 8.0.2173 is the last and final build of JAWS 8, but you say you want JAWS 8.0.1177? Personally, I recommend you update to the latest build of your version of JAWS. However, it is very easy to store the file in .MP3 as you have described. Wave files are very easy to edit, change or modify. Once you have the project completed, you can easily access the File menu and choose .MP3 as the type of medium you want. GoldWave doesn't save that file anywhere until you tell it to. It records in the wave format for the reasons I have indicated above. Re: [JAWS-Users] Has anyone had problems with installation of programsor selecting graphical buttons?
Hello David, I realize that there are times when you might need an earlier build of a JAWS version. This would be the case for example if you had the previous version of J-Say with NaturallySpeaking. I know that program required a specific build of JAWS 8. I believe I still have the JAWS installation file for the build of JAWS required by that version of J-Say, but I don't remember if it is 8.0.1163 or 8.0.1177. Unfortunately, I won't be able to send it to you for a couple days as it is on one of my work computers. I will upload it to SendSpace on Monday and let you know when it is available. Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] unreal outlook express
Lol, it's very easy to delete your trash and inbox, or you can move all of them to a backup folder in OE if you want, and set gmail to delete messages if they are picked up with pop. For the full effect of this, turn off and then back on the pop server in your gmail settings, then make sure it's set to delete gmail's copy when emails are picked up with pop. Now just sit back and, um, I dunno. hmm. Oh speaking of IMAP, is it working on your end? Windows mail on mine says the IMAP server (pop.gmail.com) returned an unknown greeting. - Original Message - From: Negoslav Sabev [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 12:57 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] unreal outlook express Unfortunately it happens to me also when I set up a gmail acount on a second computer, or if my system crashes and I need to set up acounts again, or when I delete the gmail acount and import it again with the setting to receive my messages. Thanks for the tib. Imap works pritty well here. Now I can give you a tib if it happens to receive messages from a month ago. Just wait till all are downloaded and open the view menu, right arrow on current view, down arrow to hide read messages and enter. Now you will see only unred messages and you can eazily delete those with older date you have read. Then you can go to the same menu, but this time enter on show all messages and everything is ok. You may need to do this for all your folder if you use message rules. I forgot to add something. Read below your words. You wrote: ...and set gmail to delete messages if they are picked up with pop. For the full effect of this, turn off and then back on the pop server in your gmail settings, then make sure it's set to delete gmail's copy when emails are picked up with pop.. If you do this, you wan't be able to see older messages if you need to use imap when you're away from home, simply because they will be deleted after you retrieve them with the pop3 protocol from your home pc. The way to save what you need is to have a backup of your messages and import it on your laptop or the computer you will use when you go. Re: [JAWS-Users] g mail and settings
Carla, If this should happen again go to view, sort by, then check received and sort ascending, then the oldest messages will be on the bottom and you can just arrow up to the last message you got before the massive down load then press control + shift + the home key ( which will high light all the unwanted messages ) and then press the delete key and all the unwanted messages will be gone. This should only take you a minute to accomplish. Hope this helps. I can't cook yet, but when I learn to do it I will have a searchable database of tips and recipes, yay! - Original Message - From: carla jo [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws JAWS-Users-List@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 6:08 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] about the g mail caper Well, y'all, I do appreciate all of your advice, tips and instructions on how to fix or patch, or cancel whatever it was I did. For those of you who don't know, too many commands are just too much for me to handle. I can cook a full buffet, feed and beverage a party of 50, but all this computer stuff just gets on my last nerve. I just want it to work and with a small amount of effort, it just shouldn't be this difficult. . So, thanks, I'll just figure out something simpler to get what I need, all this is just too much work for such a little thing. Re: [JAWS-Users] g mail and settings
Hi, I use that command or you can go to tools and send and receive all. I don't know how you got all the emails and twice. It should only down load the last month and you can tell what you want when you set pop settings. Did you set your pop setting in gmail it self also? recent : should only get the last 30 days and when you do add it in your your configurations it does pick up every thing again. But that should happen only once. I deal with about 3 personal and 5 organizational gmail accounts. And I had that issue happen only once. I believe you your gmail setting you can choose also if you want to keep your messages on the server too or not. And what is happening when you send messages to your self? I just send from me to myself and that works just fine! Now if you are using gmail as your smtp server also, you would get doubles each time you send your self something because it will down load all your sent messages too! But I just change my SMTP to my internet provider and I don't get my sent messages that way. Hope this helps and it is not totally off what you were asking! [JAWS-Users] strange things in my start menu
Hi all. I have something odd happening, or maybe it's not quite so odd. Last week when I did my computer maintenance the disk cleanup and disk defragmenbtor stayed in the start menu. Is it ok to use it this way. Could I simply select it from the start menu when I want to run it again in a few weeks? I saw no mention of this. This is normal depending on some system settings. Applications recently used can appear at the top of the start menu. You can run the applications again from these entries.
