Re: [JAWS-Users] moving messages in outlook express

2008-08-17 Thread Andrew Head
I've never actually done this, so if I am wrong, please correct me. You
could try searching your inbox by topic and they might come up one after
another in a list. Then you could select them and press ctrl shift V and
move them to another folder.

[JAWS-Users] need help with nfl field pass please.

2008-08-17 Thread Terry Olandese
Hello. I subscribed to the nfl field pass, and I'm having a small problem. When
I go to
www.nfl.com/fieldpass
I enter on a link that says something about listening to audio. I can see the
games for week 2 of the preseason. I went down to Dallas. There's a combo box
there with choices, so I picked the visiting team w m p, which I believe is for
listening to the game using windows media player. When I select that box and
use the alt key and up arrow, I get a message that says something like the
internet has blocked the site for security reasons.
I'm using internet 6, jaws 7, windows x p pro. Any help to get this problem
resolved would be appreciated, and thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] moving messages in outlook express

2008-08-17 Thread Mike & Barbara
Hi Allen,

1. Go to the top of your In-Box list.
2. Arrow down the list and when you get to the first message you would like
to move press and hold down the left control key. Pressing down the control
key on that first message selected that message without Jaws saying so.
3. Now, arrow down the list and each time you arrow down Jaws will say not
selected. To select press the space bar.
4. After you have arrowed down the list and selected all the messages you
want to move press the control, shift, plus v keys, select the folder you
want these messages to go to, and press the enter key. That should have
moved all the messages to the selectedd folder.

I hope this has answered your question. Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] moving messages in outlook express

2008-08-17 Thread Flor Lynch
For reference now or in the future:

1. From the message List; If you want to group messages together, group
them by conversation in the View Menu (up-arrow once and then press enter).
(Note: Grouping messages by conversation is neither a foolproof nor failsafe
method for grouping messages on a similar topic together.)

2. Then in the Tools Options Read tab, uncheck "automatically expand
grouped messages" which will mean that you will have conversations
collapsed; and to expand a conversation you will use right-arrow to view
each message.

3. To move a group of messages (in a conversation) simply highlight the
collapsed group and then press ctrl+shift+v, and select the folder you wish
to move them to.

If I understand your question, don't try to open the PDF file without saving
it first. When you wish to read a PDF file, hit the right mouse button and
scroll to "save target as." Then save the file where you would like to save
it. Then open the save file with whatever conversion software you have.

Perhaps use a different browser, like Firefox or internet Explorer. (I do
not know how the current Adobe interacts with HomePage Reader.) Otherwise,
Save Target As from the context menu; do not hit enter to download, as that
will start Adobe Reader. There are still plenty of Adobe-produced textual
document being done, which are read directly by the Adobe Reader in
conjunction with JAWS, etc. Many imaged documents can, or could, be OCR
processed by Kurzweil 1000 or Open Book.

When I try to download an Adobe PDF file, Adobe detects I am using
assistive technology and will not allow me to download the file.

I assume this is because PDF files are now graphic images instead of
text. Is there a way to overcome this problem?
Thank you,
Bob

[JAWS-Users] Windows Vista Question

2008-08-17 Thread Donnie Parrett
A friend of mine has Windows Vista. When she tries to download music from Send
Space it tells her
that it is saving it to her desktop. After the download is complete she can't
find it anywhere.
She says that it doesn't give her an option to save it anywhere else, but it
automatically says
saving to desktop. Can someone please tell me where her saved downloads might
have gone and is
there a way that she can make a choice of where to save at?

Thanks,
Donnie

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Vista Question

2008-08-17 Thread Mark
Hi
Some times I have troubles finding where a file went. So, I use the
find command. To access this I press the windows key the second one to the
left of the space bar. then type in part of the file name and press enter. A
list of files with the text in the title should appear. You can also look
for file extensions like ".wma" or ".mp3".
 I hope this helps.

God bless,
Mark

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Vista Question

2008-08-17 Thread Chrissy
you can change the location o0f where your downloads go in the save window,
before it saves to your desktop, which is most times the default location.
The desktop can be accessed by pressling the windows key and M. then all you
have to do is use your arrow keys to navigate to the file.

P.S. some dowload programs will have the option on where to save a file to
automatically, located in their 'options' or 'settings' section of the
program.
