Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with JAWS-10 in Internet Explorer

2009-04-05 Thread Flor Lynch
To be honest, this sounds like a JAWS problem. You could press F5 to
refresh the page. if that doesn't improve it, you might need to unload and
then reload JAWS.

Hi, I'm using the latest version of JAWS-10 and Windows XP Sp3. When I go
to some web pages, usually to shop, JAWS says done graphic 0 unknown zone
mixed graphic 100%. What does this mean? I have experienced quite a bit of
difficulty navigating these pages. On Amazon.com and Amazon.com/access, for
example, when I click on a product for its description, JAWS says page
doesn't exist. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It's JAWS 10.0.1142, and it's just bug fixes really from the JAWS
 10.0.1139
release, which included multiple sound card support and 64-bit Windows
 Vista

Re: [JAWS-Users] .mov DVD burner?

2009-04-05 Thread Donald Marang
I have not burned too many DVDs. I think you will need some type of DVD
authoring software. Somehow you need to add information and structure to
put the file or files into the DVD format which supports things like menus.
I have Vista Home Premium, which comes with DVD Maker from Microsoft. It is
simple and mostly accessible. You may want minimal sighted assistance or
just randomly pick a theme for the menus and background. I seem to remember
they are in a list or grid with a screenshot and a name that does not give
you a clue what it will look like. I had my daughter select one.

If you got a lot of them. Then your idea is ok, depends on how secure you want.
i have one email and pass for web sites that I know are no risk. And
those that are I keep in my head or use a encryption tool to keep
them for me. i even have a finger print reader for those that I just
don't want to remember or keep in print like bank and work.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] A question about the Nod 32 software package

Hello all,
I am thinking about getting Nod 32 for my virus protection. Is there
anything I need to do to it to make it accessible?
Thanks in advance,

If you got a lot of them. Then your idea is ok, depends on how secure you
want.
i have one email and pass for web sites that I know are no risk. And those
that are I keep in my head or use a encryption tool to keep them for me. i
even have a finger print reader for those that I just don't want to
remember or keep in print like bank and work.

Re: [JAWS-Users] .mov DVD burner?

2009-04-05 Thread Brian Lee

Hello chase,

DVDFlick is a good DVD authoring and burning tool for many video file types
including QuickTime .MOV files. A few weeks ago, I recorded an audio file
to show how the program can be used with JAWS. Although controls are not
easily accessed using the PC cursor, they can be quite easily used by using
the JAWS cursor and simulating mouse clicks. I have put the audio file that
I recorded for a couple other people on the list along with the version of
DVDFlick that I use in a zip file on SendSpace. If you want to try it out
then the link to the page where the file can be downloaded is shown below.
The audio step-by-step file was done without much preparation, but I think
you will be able to follow it okay. Feel free to contact me at my E-mail
address below if I can give you any more info about using DVDFlick. Here is
the link:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/15psum

Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] .mov DVD burner?

Hi all,
I have some movies that I would like to burn to a DVD. The movies are in
a .mov quick time format. Is there any programs that will work well with
JFW 10.0.1142 that will burn this type of movie?

Thanks,

Re: [JAWS-Users] PowerPoint2007

2009-04-05 Thread Brian Lee

Hi Kerry,

I have used PowerPoint 2007 with JAWS 10, albeit not extensively. It seems
to work very much like earlier versions as far as accessing information with
JAWS is concerned. The F6 key moves between slide area, slide thumbnail
view, notes pane, status bar and currently selected ribbon tab. In the
slide area, the tab key moves to the title and body of a current slide on
the object level. Pressing enter key on title or body changes status from
the object level to a level for editing. F5 still starts a slide show from
the beginning or shift-F5 starts it from current slide to the end. The
application key also gives a context menu of choices relevant to the slide
and part of a slide that a person is working with at the time. The Alt key
moves focus to the ribbon. Right and left arrow keys move across the ribbon
tabs and a tab key moves focus to the lower part of the ribbon.

Again, I haven't spent a lot of time in PowerPoint 2007, but it seems to be
quite accessible and work similarly to earlier versions with respect to
accessing information.

Take care.

To be honest, this sounds like a JAWS problem. You could press F5 to
refresh the page. if that doesn't improve it, you might need to unload
and
then reload JAWS.

Hi, I'm using the latest version of JAWS-10 and Windows XP Sp3. When I go
to some web pages, usually to shop, JAWS says done graphic 0 unknown zone
mixed graphic 100%. What does this mean? I have experienced quite a bit
of
difficulty navigating these pages. On Amazon.com and Amazon.com/access,
for
example, when I click on a product for its description, JAWS says page
doesn't exist. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It's JAWS 10.0.1142, and it's just bug fixes really from the JAWS
10.0.1139
release, which included multiple sound card support and 64-bit Windows
Vista
support.
