They did that to my first computer which was an acer brand!

Ok, how do I use this filzilla 2.3 version that was up on the programs page?
The edit fields say address, user and then password, so do I type in the

Hopefully, someone will come to the rescue because this list seems dead

On that missing connection. Does it see any other wireless
connections? if not then wireless0 is turned off.

Go start menu, run type services.msc
Look for wireless0, right click on it and see if it says start or

Hi Albert,

This kind of thing happened to me about a month ago, and I am also an RR
customer. Apparently, it was something on their end, but, indeed the
wireless network was somehow deleted, and had to be reset. This involved
a hard reset of the cable modem, and resetting passwords, encryption
keys, etc. If you are adept at these things, telephone tech support can
walk you through it, or if you tell them that you are blind, they'll
send a tech to your home. This was the second time that this happened
since I have been an RR customer.

Funny you should mention that. I have some instructions here that
someone

sent me from another list. I have had to adapt them because they said if
you have more than one drive. Anyway, I will paste them in this message.

Here are the instructions I have:

 Copying to CD With Windows

Put CD into the second drive (which is E), you may be asked what you want
to
do, use your arrow keys to select open writable folder, press enter. If
you

are not asked, the E drive folder may open up automatically, and that's
 where you want to be.

Go to the folder containing music, that you want to copy, select a song,
hit

the applications key, press N twice, you should hear send to, then press
enter, press the up arrow once to select the E drive, press enter.
Repeat
this process for each song you want to add, to check to see how many
songs

you have selected, press alt tab until you hear E drive, the list will
appear and tell you how many songs have been selected.

After selecting all the songs you want, press alt tab until you get to E
drive, then press alt F to bring down file menu, select write these files
to
CD, then press enter. Give the CD a name, then press enter. Use your
arrow

key to select what type of CD you wish to record, press enter.

Now route jaws to PC, press page down about twice, press the end key,
then
press insert 4 on num pad until you hear start, press the left mouse
click
to start process. Now return to the PC cursor. When done, the E drive
will

 open.

You can now check your CD by placing it in the top drive.

I've tried it and it works. It seems complicated at first, but it gets
easier. Good luck! I've even figured out ripping cds. Let me know if
you
need help with that! Wayne Scott"A merry heart does good like medicine,

Re: [JAWS-Users] accessible email program

2010-01-28 Thread Gianluca Nucci
I just don't like Outlook's interface (I'm running Xp) and I've been using
Eudora for years. I just wondered if there were new alternatives, since
Eudora 8 is almost the same as Thunderbird.
Tb is ok, I'm just having big problems with attachments (zip ones in
particular) which, for some reason, won't be decoded and it is definitely
too bad for me.

[JAWS-Users] Navigating out of editfield(which shows autofill values)

2010-01-28 Thread Dhananjaya
Hi,
I have the form autofill on and when i navigate using jaws virtual cursor
mode(Jaws 10) i'm able to get into the control but the moment i'm in the
controls shows the previously saved valued in drop down, after filling the
values i'm not able to move out of control using the same jaws virtual cursor
mode(down arrow button). How would this be known to visually challenged that
there are autofill valued and that he has to tab out or use someother way to
navigate out of the control pls? Without this one will be in that control
unable to come out.
Thanks in advance.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Wireless connection seems to have disappeared bothfrom laptop and netbook computer.

2010-01-28 Thread Van Der Walt Riana
Hello Albert,
Just first check whether it was not just disabled. On the laptops there
are usually either a keystroke that toggles, or a wireless and Bluetooth
button.

You shouldn't have to re enter any email account settings.

Regards

Riana

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Wireless connection seems to have disappeared
bothfrom laptop and netbook computer.

Good morning everyone:

A few months ago, I had a friend of mine who's a softeware engineer and
a
computer tech, come over and install and setup a wireless connection on
my
laptop computer, as well as my netbook which was done from my desktop.
As
my desktop computer is just about 8 years old, I figured that if the
desktop
computer should ever quit on me, at least I would have both my laptop
and
netbook computers as a back up. We setup the wireless connection on
these
three computers through time warner cables road runner service and
everything seemed to be working fine up until a few days ago. However
on
sunday, when i turned on my laptop computer too try and download my
email,
there was no wireless connection. What I want to know here, is it
possible
that the wireless connection could some how have been deleted? or just
the
email account which was also setup when we established on both the
netbook
and laptop computers. One more thing which I should note here, is that
I'm
able too get on too the net from the laptop computer, and probablythe
netbook as well, but I'm just wondering if I'll have too resetup my
email
account on my laptop and netbook again, though I'm not sure as that's
why
I'm asking for advice and suggestions from members on this list. I'm
using
jaws 11, and windows xp home addition on all three computers.
