Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and Mouse
I am fairly certain that the feature you are experiencing is a Magic setting rather than a Jaws setting. I remember this feature in Magic when I used to use it. The only way to get Jaws to read what is under the cursor is to switch from the PC cursor to the Jaws cursor using the nomad minus key. Even then Jaws will only respond when you use the cursor keys to navigate the mouse cursor across the screen. It does not respond at all if the physical mouse is moved. I no longer use Magic and use only Jaws. I have quickly checked using the Jaws Say all command in a variety of applications including this email and waving the mouse cursor across the screen has no effect at all on Jaws reading. I cannot remember what the setting in Magic was but I believe it was something like Mouse Echo. There will be a key combination to turn this on and off. This sounds like some sort of mouse echo function. As I use JAWS with MAGic, I often use the mouse to move around the magnified screen. This is rather annoying when I am running a say all on a page of text. There are occasions when this function might be quite useful, but I would like to know if it can be toggled on and off. Good Morning everyone, and a very happy valentines day too all of the ladies that are on this list. I would like to ask, if there's a way too reset or changeback my outlook express 6 folder settings back to there default settings? The reason that I'm asking this question is because I was trying to write down the default path settingswhere the outlook express 6 is stored, when I received a phone call. When I went to hang up the receiver, it fell out of my hand on the spacebar, thus changing the default settings before I could hit and get too the escape key too stop the process from happening. I suppose that's what happens when you have a phone on the computer desk, that's to close too the computer. Re: [JAWS-Users] Asking about jaws in arabic
Hello, well, I have done some research on Jaws supporting arabic. First problem: There seems to be no character set that is supported on braille displays since braille output is not standardized across the different arabic countries. Second: There is no sapi 5 speech except from those made by acapella. These however are hard to purchase. So if you have any new information for me I would be very happy to hear from you. I want to learn arabic and having a speech output with braille display would be very helpful. The version I am currently running is 9.0.9121. Whenever I move the mouse (even during a say all) JAWS stops the say all and reads the line upon which the mouse has come to rest. This sounds like some sort of mouse echo function. As I use JAWS with MAGic, I often use the mouse to move around the magnified screen. This is rather annoying when I am running a say all on a page of text. There are occasions when this function might be quite useful, but I would like to know if it can be toggled on and off. I would be grateful if there is anyone who has had this problem and can help me out. Hello Brian, You can also go to Freedom Scientifics website and download the realspeak voices there. When you get to the site go to the downloads option and realspeak voices should be there somewhere. You will have to download them one at a time.
