[JAWS-Users] Facebook help.
Hello everyone, Hope all of you are doing well. I'm doing good. Now my subject line. On March 3, I signed up to be on Mark Chesnutt's facebook page. I want to be able to interact with some other fans (of corse I look at the profiles first and don't just pick anyone.) I try to pick folks that seem to have the same interests as I do. So, continuing on. How do I send an e-mail to the ones I want to interact with. I pushed enter on when it said link send her a message and in the subject line I typed it in. Then I tabbed to the edit box and typed some. After that I down arrowed to send button and pressed the spacebar. So far I haven't heard from anyone. I tryed to send an e-mail to a lady by the name of Kathy who lives in Texas. There were two other ladies that live in Beaumont and I wanted to send them something and nothing happened either. The one person I tryed to send her name was Christina don't remember her last name but she is one of the people from Beaumont. One other person I tryed to send to was Vicky Cortle and she was also from Texas. Also say for example say when I log on to Mark's facebook page again and it says that he has 11,890 fans and say I want to find one of the people I was looking for how do I do that? Hope to here from someone soon. Cindy it would be great to here from you as well especially since one of the links in your profile says markchesnutt that's obviously how I know you are a fan and that's how I found your name on Mark's facebook page. Have a great rest of the day. Talk to you soon. Best Wishes, Jenny Bomareto goldi...@mho.com For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/

If you can get narrator to come on. You might be able to read it, but if the sound card buffer is locked by jaws. then you will have to get someone with sight to read it. Only because the sound card will give no speech and may only give you a few keystrokes before locking up the system. Witch will cause a reboot to get it back speaking. You might try installing NVDA which sometimes works when JAWS stops speaking. http://www.nvda-project.org/ Also Narrator might work, but you'd have to use hotkeys to get either program going without speech. Re: [JAWS-Users] hybernate v. standby
Hi, hibernation suspends to disk whereas standby suspends to ram. That means in standby ram is still powered and holds the only copy of the machine's state. When battery power or ac is no longer connected a standby state is lost with all the data not being saved to the computer's hard disk. When hibernated the system undergoes a normal boot procedure finding a ram image in hiberfil.sys. Loading the image from disk is quicker than actually booting the system from scratch but slower than waking the machine from standby since ram is already filled with the relevant data. In general I use standby for shorter periods i.e flipping a notebook shut to take an other seat or walk into an other room. Hibernation keeps the working state forever and saves 100% energy since the machine is literally turned off. It does not consume any battery power but takes longer to go into hibernation and to wake up from it.
