Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws, dragon and windows 7 speech recognition

Hi

After hearing the review of windows 7 speech recognition from serotek's
podcast, I wanted to try out and see how jaws faired with it. System access
seems to be fully compatible with windows 7 speech recognition but when I
say something, jaws doesn't read what occurs. E.g when I dictate text into
word, it doesn't speak the new text that appears. This also holds true for
dragon naturallyspeaking 10.1

Are there any scripts to improve this?

You use the full J-Say for full voice control of the computer but, if you
read the info on J-tools at approx £45, look for the section on dictate, and
it does the bridging between JFW and Dragon. I've just bought the prog,
although I haven't had time to start to experiment with it yet. Give T&T a
call if in any doubt. There's also a link to subscribe to a user's list.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS keystrokes for changing volume on a loaded GoldWave file

2010-03-25 Thread DERICK GREEFF
Hi,

I use Jaws 10 with GoldWave 5.24 but cannot find any menu item in GoldWave
allowing me to change the volume of a previously recorded file now loaded on
GoldWave.

Somewhere I read in an article that changing the total volume of an already
recorded file is indeed possible, but just cannot find the correct
information. I am now not so sure whether the information is there but that
I cannot reach it with JAWS.

Is there perhaps some GoldWave and JAWS user that can help?

It is less then 300 MB, but if you have Drop box it is so much better,
because you don't have to upload or download.
All you have to do is put the file or folder you want to send to some one in
the folder you have with that person.
Here is where to go to learn about it.

It is less then 300 MB, but if you have Drop box it is so much better,
because you don't have to upload or download.
All you have to do is put the file or folder you want to send to some one
in
the folder you have with that person.
Here is where to go to learn about it.

What's the size limit for uploading for sendspace?

Re: [JAWS-Users] software

2010-03-25 Thread Rick Justice

Hi Jeronimo,
You can use Skype to transfer files to someone else,
but it will probably be much slower, since it is not using ftp.
I'm not sure what protocol Skype uses for file transfer,
but I'd be willing to bet upload and download speeds, along with band width
are limited in comparison to standard ftp.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Hi,
it can be used to send large files to friends and family.
Basically you upload it and somebody else can download the same file.
But I don't quite see why I should not use skype for large files.
