[JAWS-Users] JFW saying supports auto complete

2010-09-27 Thread agent086b

 G'day all,
is it possible to stop JFW V12 saying supports auto complete when in an

It really get's on my quince. I have verbosity set to advanced and don't
want this. If I was using beginner level verbosity I could see that this
might be good.

Hope somebody can help me stop this unnecessary verbige.
As always thanks for any help,

Re: [JAWS-Users] Changing case in MS Word 2007

2010-09-27 Thread Deanne Miller
In Word 2007, Shift plus F3 toggles the selected text between first letter
of the word upper case, all upper case, and all lower case. The enter key is
no longer necessary. I didn't know about this command, either, so thank you
very much for sharing it with us! It sure is simpler than going through the
menus to do the same thing.

Hi Victoria;

You can also try the following. This works in Word 2002 & 2003.

When in a Word document if you press shift + F3 you can change all
selected

text from lower case to upper case letters using this toggle keystroke and
pressing
enter on your selection.
Hope this helps. Take care.

Press Control A to select everything, then press Alt, H, and tab to Change
case. Press Spacebar on Change Case, tab to Upper Case, and press Spacebar
or Enter. That should change everything to upper case. To change it all to
lower case, do the same thing, only press the button for lower case.
Hope this helps.

To do this press insert + spacebar and then the letter s. Repeat this
process when you want to take JAWS out of silent mode. It is quick and easy
and does the job for me. Hope this helps.

How can I get JAWS to not announce name of a program each time it starts and
ends? Hello.

JFW11 and Windows7. I have successfully installed and am using a 3rd party
screen saver. However each time it activates JAWS announces the name of the
screen saver program and ditto when it deactivates following a keystroke.
is there any way to set JAWS to not announce the name of this program each
time it launches and ends?

I cant find (and this is not surprising) this screen saver program show up
in the list of jcf files under config manager as I believe the list there is
pre fixed by FS.

thx.

[JAWS-Users] Microsoft security ssentials updates

2010-09-27 Thread Russ Hubley
Hi everyone,

Yes, I now have Microsoft security essentials on both of my laptops and am
very happy with their performance, especially my netbook.

Beside the automatic MS updates, I always check my MS updates that require
me to manually install an update.

Since I have installed Microsoft security essentials, I am finding daily
updates to be manually installed. I don't mind doing this, however, is there
a way that this will automatically be sent and installed?

Thank you,

Russ

Is there any easy way to reply to sender with windows live mail and jaws

The way that I just accomplished was to have the message open then under
tools start to add to contact list. I could then read the email address.
I could not select and copy but was able to remember the address. Then I
opened the message and did a reply I cleared the group address and typed
in the address that I wanted. There must be an easier way.

I don't use the same email program, but in mine there is a check box under
Tools, Options, Replying
In that dialogue I can choose to have the control r to Reply to Sender or
to All. The default on mine is Reply to all, so I unchecked the box.
This may not specifically answer the question, but it's another path to
possibly check.

Is there any easy way to reply to sender with windows live mail and jaws
12 on an win 7 machine?
The way that I just accomplished was to have the message open then under
tools start to add to contact list. I could then read the email address.
I could not select and copy but was able to remember the address. Then I
opened the message and did a reply I cleared the group address and
typed in the address that I wanted. There must be an easier way.
