[JAWS-Users] Quicken 2003 and Jaws 12
Hi, I just installed Jaws 12 the other day and today I used my Quicken 2003 for the first time with the new version of Jaws. I cane across a problem and I am wondering if anyone on the list experience the same problem. Jaws is reading the register okay and seems to report the heading such as date, num, payee etc. okay. However, when I did CTRL+S to record split transactions, Jaws 12 could not read category, memo and amount. All that I heard was account setting and blanks as I tabbed through each field. I had to exit Jaws 12 and restart Jaws 11 to correctly read the split screen. Has anyone else noticed this? And if you are not having any problems with the split screen and Jaws 12, I sure would like to know how you got it to work? I am thinking that the problem lies with the scripts and I did do the the utility merge from Jaws 11 to Jaws12. Would it be wise to take the scripts from Jaws11 and insert it into Jaws12? Any suggestions and help would be greatly be appreciated since I use Quicken 2003 heavily. Re: [JAWS-Users] Quicken 2003 and Jaws 12
I've been using the program for 7 years already simply passing the scripts along as upgrades come across. Granted though I have not ever done the split transaction before or at least don't remember doing it. All in all the program works fine for me. David Ferrin ow...@jaws-users.com I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I'll probably screw that one up too. - Original Message - From: "Lennie" To: Sent: Wednesday, November 10, 2010 5:51 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Quicken 2003 and Jaws 12 Hi, I just installed Jaws 12 the other day and today I used my Quicken 2003 for the first time with the new version of Jaws. Re: [JAWS-Users] what has google done?
I have also noticed that Google is working much slower now. It may be due to the recent release of the Google Instant search feature. There is a link at the very top of the main Google search page that says something like, "Screen reader users click here to turn off Google instant." I just went to Google and clicked on that link to see what would happen. Google seems to be working much faster now. I did a search in a couple of seconds instead of sitting and waiting a minute or so for jaws to respond before I'm even halfway finished typing my search string. Keep in mind that I have only tried it once, but it might be worth a try anyway.
