I've just posted the calendars for the next 3 years up under the MISC
heading for anybody who is interested in keeping track of their
appointments. This time around they are simple text files that everybody
can open since we all have note pad.

Hi.

there are various ways around this. first off, you could buy a dvd
player for about £20 that'll play .avi files with out needing to convert
them. then there are programs which will author a DVD for you. Express
burn from NCH swift sound is one of them, i also have a freeware
application called VSO dvd converter i could send you. this probably
won't work on windows7 but should work on windows XP. i'm sure others
have other ways and sollutions, but these are the sollutions i've
found. let me know if you want the freeware app.

[JAWS-Users] i am embarrassed and frustrated, can't set up groups in outlook 2007.

2010-11-14 Thread Jim Rawls
I am using windows 7, office 2007, therefore outlook 2007, and jaws 12 on a 64
bit machine. I cannot for the life of me, set up groups in outlook 2007. Here
is what I do, so if you are an outlook user, maybe you can correct me on my
situation here.
1. I hit control shift L to go to distribution list.
2. I name my list.
3. I arrow down to lower ribbon tab.
4. I right arrow over to members select box and hit enter.
5. Now I am in a search field, and it wants me to type in a name. I don't want
that. I want to see my list of contacts, so I can add them to my newly created
group. what am I doing wrong? It's driving me nuts, because several folks have
told me to do what i wrote here, and darn it, and those aren't the words I'm
thinking here, I can't make it work. If you are a proficient outlook 2007 user,
please help. my Skype contact is jim332, and of course my off list address is:
jazzpi...@verizon.net. I would appreciate any help here, as this has become
total war with outlook smile. Thanks for any help you can give me. Jim

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Exporting contacts from WLM

Graham,

thanks for the tip. It got me pointed in the right direction. I was able
to find the contacts in WLM 2011. On my computer after hitting F6 to go
to

mail, pushing the right arrow key got me to contacts not down arrow. It
took me a while to then find export. It is in the tools menu. Once I
found export I was home free and now my WLM contacts are in my Outlook
2007

contacts folder.

thanks again.

Greg Washington

[JAWS-Users] cannot use currency converter in research it

2010-11-14 Thread Andrew Head
Hi all, I am using jaws 12 and am trying to use the currency converter. I am
trying to convert 30 US dollars to Australian dollars. I type 30 USD followed
by a space then AUD
and each time I don't get a result. I have tried with a few other currencies
such as british pounds to australian dollars and still nothing. does
capitalisation of the currency symbols matter?
Andrew
