Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws remote desktop

2010-12-04 Thread Aiden Gardiner

hi,

there's info on how to get jaws going with remote access in the help system.
I don't have the add on myself because i've only got a standard licence,
but from what I understand, your only paying for a kind of virtual flag to
be put on your licence to say you can use remote desktop, and you can only
purchase the add on if you've got a professional licence.

I believe this is a paid-for add-on if I am not mistaken. Probably
FS's sales department will be eager to help you.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Constantly shutting down computer!

2010-12-04 Thread Victoria Vaughan
Hi David and all, My constantly rebooting was fixed by rolling back to a
restore point of a month ago. I still don't know what caused this to
happen, but I thought I'd share the solution in case it might help someone
in the future.

Thanks and good luck to all! Vicky

Sounds like you're experiencing a heat problem. That will shutdown a
computer as fast as anything else.

Hi folks, My laptop XP3 with Jaws 11, has just started rebooting all by
its

self, for no observable reason.

Since no virus was found, I am thinking of going back to my last restore
point.

Will I loose any of my Word documents or any of the books I have
downloaded

from bookshare, if I do so?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Vicky

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Media Player

2010-12-04 Thread David Bailes
Hi Patti,
If the automatic rip occurs when windows media player isn't already open, then
this will be due to the cd drive's autoplay settings.  If this is the case,
then
for instructions on how to change these settings see the CD drive Autoplay
section of this guide to windows media player 11:

[JAWS-Users] winamp and no music

2010-12-04 Thread Lois
I have problems with winamp. My husband was talking to me and I paused the song
I was listening to and when I went back to it I forgot where I was and did an
insert and down arrow and now I can't get my music to play any more. What did I
do and can it be fixed without reinstalling it?

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Media Player

2010-12-04 Thread Mike Wagoner
The only thing I can suggest is to uninstall and reinstall windows media
player 11. It shouldn't rip if the box is unchecked but it may be a
flaw in the program.
