[JAWS-Users] Problem with vista64 bit and mobile device center.

2010-12-30 Thread carliss
Listers,

I can't get Jaws to read the buttons in vista64 bit when using mobile device
center. My brother tells me that all the buttons are there but Jaws can't
see them.

Has anyone else had this problem when using mobile device center and Vista64
bit? If so, were you able to fix it?

I'm thinking that jaws and mobile device center64 bit with Vista64 bit, just
won't work. It's all good with Vista32 bit but not Vista64 bit.

Thanks for your help.

[JAWS-Users] Desktop in Windows 7

2010-12-30 Thread Rick Justice
Up until now, Windows M, has always minimized all apps, and placed the focus
on the desktop
Windows D, has always moved the focus to the desktop, and F5 would refresh
the screen and de-select all items.
Using Jaws version 11 or 12, on a Win7 64-bit system, this does not seem to
work.

Is this something with Jaws, or Windows, a bug or setting needing changed?

Strange!
F5 both refreshes and de-selects on my system.
For example if I select some files etc in Windows Explorer and confirm
that with JAWS+Shift+down arrow JAWS tells me what I've selected.
I then press F5 and then JAWS+Shift+down arrow again and JAWS says
nothing selected.

CTRL+Space works as well of cource.

Yes, Rick, I am also noticing something on my Win7 64 bit when I press
windows key M. At times it just says desktop, other times it says some
letters with the words, window capturing. If I press alt F4, I don't here
this. This is most noticeable on startup. I thought it was just my notebook,
but am glad to know that others are hearing something besides desktop.

Thank you,

Re: [JAWS-Users] Desktop in Windows 7

2010-12-30 Thread Mauricio Molina
What I have observed with Windows 7 and F5 is that it will only work if more
than one item is selected. For instance, if only one item in, lets say, My
Documents is highlighted and F5 is pressed, nothing. But if at least two
items are selected and F5 is pressed, F5 works as it used to and there is no
longer anything selected.
